Bridesmaid
Established 2002 Known notoriously for introducing Kaitlyn as her "high school friend", Katie has actually been glued to Kaitlyn's side for the past 24 years. Beginning as soccer teammates on the Powerpuff Girls and later the Speedy Cheetahs, they continued to thrive together as the skiing Dare Devil Duo and the proud authors of their incomplete 3rd-grade masterpiece "The Adventures of Katie and Kaitlyn". Today, they spend their time together drinking coffee, going to the beach, or disagreeing on the merits of their book club reads.

Established 2003 Kyle and Alex grew up alongside one another, first meeting as kindergarteners at St. Stephen. Over the years, they’d compete on many of the same sports teams, such as the class B-team for basketball (where they achieved an impressive 0-16 streak across the 6th and 7th grade seasons) and freshman football team (where Alex and Kyle picked up the nicknames “Jarn” and “Creepy Little Elf,” respectively — thankfully only one of those has stuck). Both were also well known for their accomplishments in the classroom, so it was with the aura of a proud dad that Kyle roadtripped across the country with “Jarn” to bring him to his graduate school program at the University of Wisconsin in 2020.
Bridesmaid
Established 2006 Cam and Kaitlyn’s friendship began in Mrs. Barrie’s 4th grade classroom. Over time, playing Littlest Pet Shop morphed into reading Twilight and debating Team Edward versus Team Jacob. Having the exact same 6th grade schedule and playing flute side by side solidified their best-friendship. Despite Cam being at a separate school for the first two years, they continued to have adventures together throughout high school, and even traveled across the world together for a post-high school graduation trip, where they rode camels, hoarded chocolate, and swam together in the Mediterranean Sea. For the past 7 years, Cam has been loving life in the PNW while Kaitlyn has been in California, and they cherish the time they get to spend together.

Established 2013 When Kyle joined the track and cross country teams, Raymond quickly earned Kyle’s respect with Raymond’s affinity for Nintendo games and alternative/indie music. Raymond just as quickly lost that respect with his affinity for tomfoolery while running along Sunset Boulevard, but the two remain close. Raymond attended the University of Santa Cruz and is “100% slug,” as they say. He now resides in sunny San Diego, where he fled shortly after Kyle returned to northern California.
Bridesmaid
Established 2009 Due to the perils of middle school grievances, Julia and Kaitlyn’s friendship almost never existed—at least if Julia were to have had it her way. Despite Julia’s initial dislike of Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn’s oblivious persistence slowly broke Julia until she saw that they were meant to be best friends. For the past 16 years, their friendship has been built on a strong foundation of yapping, blabbering, and having almost identical interests. From One Direction to ACOTAR, Kaitlyn has always been able to rely on their like-mindedness as they bounce from one obsession to the next.
Groomsman
Established 2013 Krey made an instant and lasting impression on Kyle in the freshman track season, much as he also left a lasting impression in a bush outside the Century Daly City movie theater when he jumped into its branches, unprovoked. Krey is greatly appreciated for his sincerity, as well as his ability to retrieve things from high shelves. Krey attended the University of Wisconsin and brought Kyle to the Badgers’ 2020 Rose Bowl appearance; Kyle looks forward to watching the Badgers lose in the Rose Bowl again, to the Bruins this October.
Bridesmaid
Established 2016 What happens at band camp, stays at band camp. Except in the UCLA marching band, where instead you form lifelong friendships and find your future husband. Sophomore Kaitlyn befriended freshman Julianne—albeit somewhat aggressively—by telling her she was cool and they should be friends. This playground strategy worked, and they spent their college years as fellow flute players, Disneyland pass holders, and eventually roommates with two twin beds stuffed in a LA bedroom the size of a walk-in closet. Today, Kaitlyn is fortunate that Julianne only lives an hour away with her husband Harry, whom she also met in the UCLA marching band. The two couples love to ski/snowboard together and are currently in the middle of a long term legacy board game that they’ve been playing for the past four years.
Groomsman
Established 2013 Shane earns his flowers for being the most loyal to the city of San Francisco, being one of just three in the friend group (along with Kyle and Alex) to actually grow up within its 7 mile x 7 mile borders (they totally don’t have a complex about it), and he even now works at City Hall. He is always down to hang out or play a game, as long as it’s not Monopoly with Raymond. Shane recently became a father and will be very happy to show you pictures of his son, a beautiful black and white cat named Beans – Shane was previously the de facto catsitter for Kyle and Kaitlyn, who would like to think they inspired Shane’s decision to adopt.
Bridesmaid
Established 2023 Although the newest best friend to this bridesmaid lineup, that does not lessen her importance in Kaitlyn’s life. Heather and Kaitlyn met at Chapman Physician Assistant school. They became quick friends over their mutual suffering through the academic rigors of PA school. They were each other’s study partners, fake patients, and emotional support during the most difficult 24 months of their lives. During their second year of school, when they were out on clinical rotations instead of in the classroom and saw each other less, they still made time to go to their weekly yoga class together. Nowadays, they live on opposite sides of the state but regularly catch up on the phone during their commutes home, which of course includes sharing their craziest work stories.
Groomsman
Established 2013 Morgan and Kyle were early training partners on the cross country team and were elevated to the varsity squad at the same race at the end of the 2013 season, the two sophomores putting two of their senior teammates out to pasture. The two also bonded during their multimedia design class, re-creating an embarrassing Robin Thicke music video that as of this writing appears thankfully lost to time. Their re-creation of the iconic Amsterdam bench scene from The Fault in Our Stars is slightly less embarrassing and remains on Kyle’s Instagram to this day.
