Our Love Story

First come School then Comes marriage

We met at school when we were just 13. Shannon thought Kyle was the perfect mix of nerdy and cool — surrounded by tons of friends (and way too many girls). Kyle, on the other hand, had his first impression of Shannon… (Kyle will add his part here). Years went by, and one day in class Shannon noticed Kyle sitting alone, looking a little down. Needing an excuse to check he was okay, she “pretended” she needed a piece of stationery — just so she could talk to him. From that small interaction came messages back and forth, and eventually Kyle asked Shannon on a date. Our first date is still one we talk about all the time. Between Shannon’s dad getting Kyle’s name wrong, and us getting completely lost on the way to our destination, it turned into hours of driving around just talking — and somehow it was perfect. After that, we were inseparable. We bounced between both of our parents’ houses like it was a hotel, staying a few nights each week, as long as we were together. Eventually, we moved in together and made a home of our own. Eight very happy years later, Kyle took Shannon and Milo on a hike in the rain (a little suspicious, we must admit…) and asked Shannon to marry him. We would describe each other in a lot of ways, but Shannon thinks Kyle is ambitious, funny, and protective — and Kyle… well, he’ll have to say what he thinks about Shannon. Through it all, it’s been about the little things, the long drives, the laughs, the cozy nights, and knowing we’ve got each other no matter what. And we can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with all of you!
