Those two cherished numbers, 2 and 9, held special places in your heart, and I knew they deserved a special place in our love story too. So, on that fateful Memorial Day weekend at Nancy's house, I had a plan in mind. With the help of Meghan, I had chosen a ring as unique as you—a 200-year-old Victorian-era pearl ring. The grand surprise was a trip to Paris, where I planned to propose on September 29th, 2022 (9-29-22), ensuring those beloved numbers were forever etched in our history. From her perspective: As I sat there in Montmartre, with the magnificent Sacré-Cœur as our backdrop, little did I know the beautiful surprise that awaited me. The day was perfect, with the sun kissing the City of Love and a spread of prosciutto, cheese, and Côte du Rhône before me. It was a rare indulgence for my mostly vegan self, and I was in no hurry to finish the delectable feast. In fact, I even playfully stalled his proposal a few times because, who could resist such delicious temptation? But, as he knelt before me and the words spilled from his heart, I finally said yes. We began to walk towards the basilica, and then, unexpectedly, we stumbled upon a musician playing "The Scientist" by Coldplay. In that moment, with the music guiding our steps, we found ourselves slow dancing, lost in each other's eyes, and in the magic of Paris—the city of love, where our own love story began a new chapter.
