Question

What COVID safety measures will be in place?

Answer

The city of Chicago no longer requires guests to be vaccinated against COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the city and state's guidelines, and will keep guests informed of any changes. The health and safety of our guests is important to us. If you do not feel well, please stay home. Although we would love to celebrate with you, we trust that our guests exercise appropriate judgement in regards to their health.

Question

What is the best way to get downtown from the airport?

Answer

For those of you flying in (thank you!) Chicago has two main airports, O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW). They are roughly equidistant from downtown Chicago and will take you about 45 minutes to get downtown depending on what time you are traveling. A rental car is likely not necessary - trains and Ubers are simple and the cost of parking downtown can be more than the weekend rental fee! Feel free to take the L train from the airport to the Loop. From O'Hare, you'll take the Blue Line towards Forest Park. From Midway, look for the Orange Line towards the Loop.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in downtown Chicago. Chicago has a variety of lodging options including hotels and AirBnBs. Please see the "Travel" page for hotel room block offers

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

While we love all your little ones, we are keeping our younger guests at our ceremony and reception limited to immediate family. We hope this is an opportunity for you to let your hair down and enjoy the party!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

At this time, unless your invitation is made out to your partner or "and guest" we ask that you do not bring a date. We are still battling COVID rules and regulations as well as venue capacity limits. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is there parking at the hotels?

Answer

All of our hotels offer parking rates for guests. For more affordable parking in the area, we encourage you to check out the SpotHero or ParkWhiz apps.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

Parking in Chicago is very limited, so we encourage our guests to use Uber or Lyft to get around the city. However, if you do choose to drive to the ceremony, parking is located at the ICSJ School lot at 363 W. Hill Street. The parking lot is directly behind the firehouse on the corner of N. Orleans and Hill Street located across the street from the church. No cars should be left during the day or overnight following the ceremony. If you use the Atrium Village parking lot, you will be towed.
