Julia and Reid first met during a drill weekend for the US Navy, a setting that proved to be the perfect place for them to connect. In June 2019, Julia took the initiative and sent Reid a happy birthday message on Facebook, kickstarting a brief conversation between the two. However, their interaction did not immediately lead to a relationship. It wasn't until April 2020, when Reid reciprocated the birthday wishes, that their connection blossomed. Regular conversations and dates at a local park followed, and from that point on, Julia and Reid spoke every single day without fail. Their relationship progressed quickly, with the couple moving in together on their one-year anniversary and getting engaged at Sunset State Beach in December 2022. Unfortunately, their engagement was marked by a period of separation, as Julia left for deployment in January 2023. Now that Julia has returned home and Reid has started his career as a firefighter, the couple is ready to take the next step and get married.
