We're getting married!

Hailey and Reid met through work at Grand Canyon University in 2021. Reid was the assistant coach for the men's ice hockey team and Hailey just started as their Athletic Trainer. They became friends, but didn't go on their first date until over a year later. They've been together ever since! Reid proposed on July 19, 2024 by the Salt River in Arizona. He planned an intimate engagement followed by a celebration with friends and family in Pinetop!

The first time I met Hailey was three years ago at AZ Ice Arcadia, it was both of our first times at GCU. She became the first person I talked to when I got to the rink and the last person I would talk to at the end of the day. After a year of friendship, it became two hour phone calls, a scary movie that we had NO BUSINESS watching, and then our first date dressed as Bikers. After losing a round of darts, drinking a warm jack and coke, and learning more about the most beautiful person I have ever met in a dive bar called Dodeys, I knew that she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Every week, month, and year after, we have made memories together that we will never forget. Our Saturday walks to the farmers market and buying plants for our separate houses, small little "in the house dates", to now starting the rest of our lives together. On July 19th I wanted to show Hailey how special she is, how much she means to me, and how much she has impacted my life. I am excited to see what our future holds and spend everyday with my best friend.

Reid was the first person to introduce himself to me at the ice rink on my first day in hockey. He was kind and made me feel welcome. Throughout my first season, Reid would be the friend who rolled his eyes at the same time as me or called me to laugh about non-sense we dealt with at work. A year later, Reid asked me to go with him to a coworkers halloween party. I still wasn't convinced it was a date, but we went to a dive bar where I beat him in darts and it was like hanging out with a friend that I've known for years. We've spent about every day together since! Fast forward to July of 2024, Reid and I started talking about engagement and agreed we would be ready after my brother moved out. It only took Reid 19 days after Wyatt moved to ask me to marry him! Every detail I've ever mentioned about my dream engagement, Reid made sure was included. He is the most thoughtful, loving partner I could ask for. I can't wait to marry him in front of our closest people.
