Things To Do in Chattanooga

The Wedding Website of Emma Green and Reid Solomon
Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

3917 Saint Elmo Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37409

Reid and I both went to visit the incline railway as kids, and we both loved it! There are gift shops and parks you can hike to when you get to the top. If you go, grab a light jacket - as it gets cold sometimes up on Lookout Mountain!

Rock City

Rock City

Lookout Mountain, GA 30750

This place has been on our bucket list for a long time! They are known for their beautiful waterfalls and scenic views of Chattanooga and Georgia. Both of our families have been and highly recommend it!

Tennessee Riverwalk

Tennessee Riverwalk

Tennessee Riverwalk, Chattanooga, TN

This is a great place for anyone wanting to get up early and take a walk by the Tennessee river in downtown Chatt! Definitely stop by Rembrandt's Coffee House - known for their amazing pastries and delicious brews! Reid personally recommends the key lime and turtle tarts that they have!

Tennessee Aquarium

Tennessee Aquarium

1 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

Reid and I went here on our first Valentine's Day together; nothing says romance quite like river otters and manta rays! Surprisingly, our favorite part of the aquarium might just be the butterfly garden near the beginning of the attraction! There are also a ton of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the aquarium. If you're looking for a sweet treat native to Chattanooga, the Moon Pie store is a must see!

Oddstory Brewing Co: Central

Oddstory Brewing Co: Central

1604 Central Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37408

Get Drinks at Oddstory Brewing Co. ! Both of their locations in downtown and off Central Ave. are great places to sit and enjoy a beer outside. Reid and I also love going to trivia nights on Wednesday here! Don't panic if you're not a beer-lover; they've got a couple of other options on the menu (food and drink included) as well!

Scoop Around Ice Cream Bar

Scoop Around Ice Cream Bar

831 East Main Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408

Grab some ice-cream at Scoop Around Ice Cream Bar, and find out! This is our favorite ice cream place in town; they have the best birthday cake flavor ice cream you'll ever have! Reid says the key lime ice cream ain't too shabby either! BE WARNED: Their crazy shakes are GINORMOUS - we wouldn't recommend taking one on by yourself unless you're really dying for ice cream!

Taqueria Jalisco

Taqueria Jalisco

850 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

Grab dinner at this amazing Mexican restaurant that Reid and I both love! Don’t forget to grab a margarita and their amazing street corn while you're there! If you're looking for a quick laugh, ask Reid why he and the owner have beef.....

Honey Seed

Honey Seed

1705 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408

People always talk about Milk and Honey as the best brunch spot in town; however, we think that this place might have a leg up on the competition! This amazing bagel and pizza place is a family favorite, and the wait times are much more reasonable than other places you might try. The "fancy tater tots" with a side of house-made ranch will change your life for the better!!!

Southside Pizza

Southside Pizza

612 East Main Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408

This is one of our top two pizza joints in town, and here's a hint: it's not #2! Reid loves their BBQ chicken pizza, and Emma is a big fan of their classic pepperoni pie. The pizzas themselves are humongous, and you can also do a bucket of balls (meatballs, that is) or some tatsy garlic knots to go with the meal. This place is a hidden gem in our minds!

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar

1110 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

We went to the Tupelo honey located in Knoxville, TN on our first date, and the rest was history! We realize you can get this in a bunch of different cities, but the nostalgia factor was too great to omit!

Tremont Tavern

Tremont Tavern

1203 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37405

Tremont's slogan says it all: "Damn good food!" This is the self-proclaimed best burger in Chattanooga, and we're inclined to agree with that take! The burgers, fries, and tots all speak for themselves, and there's a myraid of other great options on their menu. If you happen to be in town on Monday night, they host a trivia night from 8-10 PM.

Elsie's Daughter

Elsie's Daughter

1404 Rossville Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37408

This is one of the newer restaurants in town, and they have the best handmade cocktails and bites to eat. The atmosphere is super unique, and so is the food!

Main Street Meats

Main Street Meats

217 East Main Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408

We went here this past Valentine’s Day, and the steak was to die for! Make sure you get here early because the place fills up quick on weeknights and weekends. This is definitely one of our favorite places in Chattanooga. Fun fact - this restaurant is right across the street from the wedding venue!
