Travel Note

Passport and Visa

Just a reminder that you do need a valid passport to travel to Greece and it cannot expire within 6 months of travel so please check your passports or go get one! Please note that it can take up to 3 months to get a passport so please don't wait until the last minute to get yours. As for a visa, you do not need to have a visa to travel to Europe right now but I will let you know if that changes.

Flight

Athens International Airport

There are no direct flights from the US to Paros. You will need to fly into Athens and then get a connecting flight or ferry ride to Paros. Some countries in Europe do direct flights to select islands in Greece, so if you plan on traveling around Europe before or after the festivities, you can look into direct flights to Paros to or from your select country! If you plan on spending some extra time in Europe, I would suggest looking into flying into large airports like Paris (and get a connecting flight from there) as those flights can sometimes be cheaper than flying directly to Athens. Happy airline hunting!

Hotel

Naousa

Hotels are booked for June 10th-14th! You do not need to book a room through their websites as rooms are already booked through the travel agent and will be assigned to guest closer to the date. We have two hotels that are relatively close to each other to house everyone as well as villas for the families with children. If you are wanting to extend your stay or have any questions, send Kendra a text: 6183176063.

Travel Note

Transportation

We would suggest renting a four wheeler or side by side to explore the island during your free time! This is your vacation too and we want you to make the most of the beauty Greece has to offer! There is also the option to rent a car, however, we found a four wheeler was our favorite mode of transportation during our time in Greece as it allows you more freedom to explore the more secluded parts of the island.

Travel Note

Packing Essentials

We recommend purchasing an adapter for all your electronics as they do have different plugs in Europe. You can easily find adapters on Amazon! Europe is a little more strict on their flight rules, so make sure to pack your liquids in clear quart sized baggies and have one baggy per bag. Most importantly, bring comfortable, already broken in walking shoes for exploring! I speak from experience when I say new shoes and sandals are not the move for Europe and you will have blisters. Bring a nice pair of tennis shoes and pair them with every outfit (our venue is nice and flat so you can wear heels/dress shoes to the wedding, and please do haha).

Paros Travel Guide

This is a travel guide to all things Paros. It is a huge file so you might have to download it if you are wanting to view it but it does have a lot of great suggestions for things to do on the island! Also please note, it is written by someone whose first language is not English so there are some grammatical errors but all the information is still good and up to date as of 2024.
