Please allow time to get through customs upon arrival to Cartagena's airport. Custom times can vary greatly depending on the number of flights landing at the time. To be safe, we recommend traveling as early as possible. Departure flights out of Cartagena are usually seamless.
Everything within the Walled City is easily walkable. However, Ubers are readily accessible and very affordable. We recommend this or rides set up via your hotel if a car is needed.
Cartagena has a tropical climate year-round. Expect warm temperatures and humidity and possible afternoon showers. We recommend exploring early in the day and enjoying your hotel pool in the afternoon. As always, be sure to hydrate & wear sunscreen!
The national currency is Colombian Pesos (COP). USD is widely accepted as well, and change is often given back in COP. Credit card / Apple Pay is also widely accepted.
