Wedding is postponed to July 4, 2020!

Brent was living in Dubuque but came to Davenport for his friend's St. Patrick Day party in March of 2018. I was in Waterloo but my friend Jess (Bridesmaid) was at the same party Brent was at. She started talking to him and realized he was somebody I would be interested in getting to know. A couple weeks later I was working in Dubuque and we met in person for the first time in the cafeteria! We went on our first date a couple weeks after that and the rest is history!

On April 12th, 2019 we were driving back to Brent's hometown in Illinois for his cousin's wedding. He was more talkative than normal and had a permanent smile on his face for the whole drive. When we arrived to his parent's house, we were looking at a new addition in his dad's shop before going out to dinner with his family. We went inside to get ready and he asked to show me one more thing in the shop. At this point, I had an idea something was going on. We walked outside and he pretended like he couldn't find what he was looking for. We walked around his truck and he got down on one knee. He looked up at me and before he could say anything, the tears started. It was simple and perfect!
