Best Man
(Speech Giver) Stephen and I go way back to my formative years in… undergrad? Even though I really wanted to be friends with him in high school, he never really wanted that (and now that it’s in writing on the internet, it has to be true). We truly bonded during our time in College Station. It was one of the greatest joys of my life to have someone in my corner like Stephen. He’s a friend whose relationship with me has remained consistent no matter the season or the time. He’s the kind of friend I can simply sit and chat with—someone I don’t need to do anything with, but just participate in life alongside.
Best Man
(Speech Giver) Cody Culp is the only good thing to ever come out of Madisonville… well, maybe his wife and kids too, but he’s the only person of personal note. I guess there was also that pro-am golf champion who went to A&M… and a few NFL players. But Cody is the only one I personally know. On a more serious note, Cody makes an effort to fill every room with joy. He takes our friendship seriously and makes it a priority to listen to me and care for me regardless of the situation I’ve put myself in. I’m blessed to call him my friend, and even more blessed to know that he is an excellent example of both a great father and a great husband.
Best Man
(Speech Giver) Not everyone gets a Will Pyle in their life—and it’s kind of sad to think that some people don’t. Will Pyle, surprisingly in looks but unsurprisingly in personality, often gets mistaken for my brother. And to a certain extent, he is. Will and I experienced a similar level of grief that launched our friendship. We spent years around each other in College Station—and it’s important to note that it’s the perfect place to truly know someone, because there isn’t anything to do there—which means you just get to know a person. Game nights, restaurants, a trip to Big Bend, lots of wine and beer, and countless hours simply being ourselves. He’s the perfect person I never asked to be in my life, but had the opportunity to welcome into it. I’m so blessed to call him my friend.
Best Man
(Bestest Mensch) My relationship with Kris began when he decided it was a good idea to counsel incoming freshmen on how to be engaged in Christian community at Texas A&M. Little did we know what we had in store. There was a brief year in undergrad when we got to live together, and I truly think God did some great things for us during that time. He gave us the concept of the mega-feast, playing chess with Jenga pieces, a trophy case of stolen—borrowed—items from our friends’ houses, and a legendary pie that would eventually be the reason his now-wife noticed him. Kris and I have shared so much life over the past ten years, and he has been an incredible confidant whenever I’ve needed one.

I would like Tyler a lot more if he didn’t choose to live in Midland. Honestly, it’s probably the worst thing about him. What I’ve noticed most about my friendship with Tyler over the years is that when you are his close friend, you are always his close friend. There is no rock left unturned when we talk. Anytime we hop on the phone or talk in person, there is so much follow-through in our conversations. I always feel a deep commitment both to him and from him because I know he wants to press in. I’ve learned a lot from Tyler about how much joy simple activities can bring. I’m so fortunate to have someone of his caliber in my life… but seriously, I’m not joking about the Midland thing.
Best Man
The eldest Burbank, but not necessarily the best Burbank. That honor probably goes to Glenn—Stephen and Michael’s dad. Michael has always shown me that kindness and effort can conquer almost any battle. He’s also shown me that there is a real sweetness in the love and joy Jesus has given us and calls us to give. Michael and his wonderful wife, Katie, will forever have a profound influence on Andrea and me, as they led our pre-engagement counseling. I’m so thankful that Michael takes the time and effort to be my friend.
Best Man
How does one even begin to describe Will Harris. He is kind of like the kid who really likes toy trains.
Best Man
This little rascal—I watched this man marry my sister and start a family with her. It’s crazy to look back and see him go from a scrawny middle schooler into such a great partner in life for my family. Over the years, I’ve been a direct recipient of the strength the Oliver name brings to my family. They are consistent, direct, calm, and engaged—qualities that add so much to our lives. I’m incredibly thankful that my brother-in-law has such a meaningful place in my life.
Best Man
One of Andrea’s best friends. The memories they’ve shared over the years we’ve been dating are too numerous to count. After Andrea and I started dating, it wasn’t long before Brandon and Andrea hit it off—like two peas in a pod. Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, Brandon and I have developed a truly fantastic friendship over the past few years. Between rush-hour nap times, The Great British Baking Show, and a touch of mild seasonal depression (probably the most bonding of them all), Brandon and I cemented something really special. The past few years of living with Brandon have been a hallmark season in my temporary departure from College Station. I won’t miss anyone more than I’ll miss this guy.

I am so grateful to have a built-in best friend for life. Growing up we shared a room together and we would spend our time before bed making shadow puppets and dreaming up what we would eat if we could eat anything in the world. We spent two years at UT at the same time and Leann was a great encourager for me to deepen my faith and find real community in college. I am so proud of all Leann has accomplished. She disciples younger women, loves her community well, and is a wonderful wife and mother. She cares deeply and I thank God for who she is!

Lauren has always been in a very different stage of life than me, can blame the 9 year ago gap on that one. It has made her a great mentor, helping me navigate getting into medical school and life in general. She is the reason I went to Ignite Texas before my freshman year of college where I got my first glimpse of people my age who truly loved Jesus. She loves her family so much and I truly believe there isn't anything she wouldn't do for family. I love you
Best Gal
We've been best friends since age 5. That means we have been through and seen a lot together. We are sisters for life and I cannot imagine a life without you in it. Claire is silly and joyful, sincere and thoughtful. And of course a weenie dog lover! Might be the biggest reason she approved of Drew honestly. I love Claire deeply and seeing her flourish is the best thing ever. Can't wait to bring the boys to some broadway shows!
Best Gal
Caitlin and I lived together for 3 years in college. 3 years where we became like sisters. So many of my favorite memories from college were made in the MLK House. Caitlin would serenade me before bed and go off to Alicia Keys. I got to see Caitlin lead our bible study, showing me what it means to step up into a leadership role in the church and trusting God with it. She is the best!
Best Gal
Molly and I also lived together in the MLK House in college. It was always such a blast - making breakfast together, using silly snapchat filters and coming up with alter egos. Molly is talented in so many ways, always juggling a ton of hats. She is a sweet friend that I can always rely on. It was an honor getting to see her walk through engagement and now marriage with her awesome husband. I love you friend!
Best Gal
Eva is the best! We met only at the end of my time in Galveston, but our friendship has survived a few moves, and I am overjoyed she is now in the DFdub. Eva is kind, adventurous, and down for all shenanigans. Her laugh is incredible! She loves Jesus and points me to Him. She is an intentional friend and I am so grateful for her!
Best Gal
This girl right here! One of my first friends since moving back to DFW and now I consider her family. Since meeting Amber she has been consistent in her encouragement, accountability, and the way she desires to honor God. She does not back down from a challenge and I am blessed to know she has my back! Always down for a coffee date or a day trip, it is so fun to explore with her. Thank you for reminding me to just get the darn fun drink or treat!

All my life, I’ve had the joy of looking up to this man. It’s tough to put into words what having a brother like Robbie is like. He is a combination of so many great and meaningful qualities that have shaped who I am. We moved around a lot growing up, and that constant change brought Robbie and me even closer. I always had a brother who took the time to be in my corner, listen to what I needed, and support me when I failed. I have a profound respect for who he is, because so much of who I am comes from him. God gave me Robbie as a brother so I could see the world through a more mature mind. I got to watch and learn as he walked through life—holding onto what was good and learning from his missteps. I’m delighted that my brother gets to be the one to announce Andrea’s and my covenant before our family and friends on May 16th.
