Like many modern love stories, Christian and Allie’s began online. An algorithm (and a little bit of luck) brought them together and right away, they could tell this was something special. Christian’s opening line was asking Allie what her favorite scary movie was. Naturally, Allie responded with a follow-up question: Which subgenre? Slasher? Found footage? Paranormal? There are far too many excellent options to ever narrow it down to just one. (But if she absolutely had to… It’s the original Scream. Obviously.) From there, it didn’t take long to realize how much they had in common. They grew up listening to the same music, they both love attending live shows, both are building ever-growing tattoo collections, and they both share a deep love for their families and animals of all kinds. Their first date was on February 29, 2024, at Mad Cow in Eagan. Christian will tell you it was love at first sight. Allie doesn’t quite believe him… But he stands by it. After that, their relationship developed quickly but naturally. There was no awkward getting-to-know-you phase that so many people dread while dating. Just a natural, effortless connection that felt less like meeting someone new, and more like finally meeting someone they had somehow always known. Being together was simple in the best way. There was no confusion, no second-guessing, just a steady, undeniable feeling that finally this was right. After about a year of dating, Allie and Christian took the next step in their relationship and moved in together. Like any big change, it came with adjustments, but together they’ve curated a home that reflects them perfectly. Their favorite nights are the simple ones: playing video games, dancing in the kitchen, eating an unreasonable amount of salads, and hunting for the coolest vintage and antique treasures. On January 24, 2026, Christian proposed at the top of the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis. It was a perfect and private moment, high above the city with only the moon and stars to hear Allie respond: “Obviously!!!” Now, the couple is excitedly planning their wedding and looking forward to seeing and celebrating with all their favorite people.
