I was not a fan or in favor of doing the online dating apps but my friends explained that traditional dating was less likely to happen, especially in the era of Covid-19. So I built up the nerve and prayed to God please guide me because I’m not sure about this. And so I decide that eHarmony seems to be the safer route for me. Reggie told me he was not liking online dating and he was going to give it one more try through eHarmony as well. Reggie reach out and liked my introduction and what I’m looking for in a relationship. About 3 days later, I responded (I had taken a hiatus from the site) letting him know that I just got back on the site and wanted to see if he was still interested in talking. The next day he responded back he was and we had a very interesting first message that showed our funny and corky side, which is best told in person. Next thing we know we are spending hours on the phone talking and getting to know each other (longest phone conversation 5 hours and 45 minutes), don’t judge! We shared so many things in common and our faith was both important to us. We were both smitten and love for us became true.💗

There was many ways Reggie wanted to propose but the final choice was to have a family fun night at my house which led to poetry night. Nothing unusual with that because we usually have off beat fun nights when we all get together. And so they all distracted me with each person saying they would do a poem like open mic night and those that are poetically challenge i.e. me would judge. Reggie decided to go first and said he had been working on poem and was about/for me. He begins the poem and I’m a bit embarrassed because I don’t like the attention. As he ends the poem which was beautiful, he proceeds to walk towards me and proceeds to get on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was so surprised and pleasantly shocked that I just started crying and whispered yes. All being recorded by my children and cousin. It was absolutely the sweetest and loving proposal which included his daughter and niece, my cousin, my son, his girlfriend, and my daughter and her husband. It was absolutely perfect!!!
