Atlanta, Georgia We spotted each other out in the FFLC dorm our freshman year of college at Savannah State University. We were two Middle Georgia girls ready to take college by storm. We lived a couple of doors down and we were happy to click up with all the girls from Atlanta and created a small crew, "Third Floor". Since then, we have gone to grad school, celebrated major milestones, and lived our best lives together. I call her several times a day to talk about nothing and she makes time for me no matter the endless list of responsibilities she has. Her loyalty is unwaivering and she's always ready for some good girl time.

Atlanta, Georgia Girlfriends affectionately call each other “homegirl”. Well, Sade has been my true homegirl since she tried out for the Weaver Middle School cheerleading team. I was always a couple of years ahead of her in every school. At Savannah State, we were more like sisters than friends. If I want something done right and with love the 1st time, she’s my girl. We have the most fun nights together and never want to leave each other when it’s time to go home. She’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

Brownsburg, Indiana Dr. Penn is my cousin. We are literally the same person. We show up in the same outfits, with the same hair, and nails. Our conversations include, confirming, assuring, agreeing, finishing sentences, and making it known that we have each other’s back. We met during college (blame our parents) and have been inseparable ever since. Her wit and candor make her a top contender for good conversation and a fun time.

Suwanee, Georgia It’s always a pleasure to spend time with Ashley. She is my cousin on my mother’s side. She is so smart, positive, and energetic. If she can see it, then she can be it. My favorite memory with Ashley is Easter dinner during the pandemic. She went all the way old school with the meal she prepared and she made sure to include me since I could not spend the day with my immediate family. She shows me God’s love in human form. She’s not only my cousin, but my friend. I am lucky to have a cousin-friend like her.

Sometimes when she was growing up, I had to remind myself that she was a child. We have the most meaningful conversations, and we laugh together until our stomachs hurt. Our family network affectionately refers to her as Princess E and if you spend ten minutes with her, her warm and gentle spirit will have you on board with that nickname in no time.

My Gemini sister and I went to pre, middle, and high schools together. Our parents made sure to keep us side by side in ballet, tap, jazz, and Jack & Jill. The plan worked. We are still the best of friends with memories to share for a life time. I was honored to stand beside her at her wedding and I am thrilled to have her by my side for my wedding. My twin is always right on time.

We make up a song for every situation and laugh our hearts out about it. She’s my world traveler and I love to get advice from her unique world view.

We cut up together, but we also talk about issues of the world and give each other advice. She shares her children with me and they were my lifeline while I was in school. Her heart is golden and makes her a pleasure to spend time with. I love that we have been friends since high school. There’s just some people that get you and she gets me.

That means we have been basking in sisterhood for fifteen years. If trust was a person, it would be Quell. When I am in a panic or extremely excited about something, I love sharing with her because she always makes the situation better. We are both problem solvers and will do anything for our friends and family. We bond over that daily. She’s also a boss and makes me boss up in every space.

She and I bonded right away, making memories to last us a lifetime. While Felicia has moved all over the country to continue her career in television, our friendship never waivered. She’s my unicorn friend. She makes the world seem like rainbows and sunshine. Her pleasant demeanor makes it easy to spend hours on the phone or in person. She is such a special friend; smart, funny, charismatic, and amazing to be around.

I like-like that. Don’t get it twisted, she’s well-rounded and is fun in all spaces. If I could steal a quality from her to have, it would be her dedication to relationships. But those from the "County" kindly refer to him as "Bucking Bill" a nickname he's always lived up to!lol

Macon, Georgia My guy! Always got by back no matter what. Born only 5 months apart and is the epitome of "A1 Since Day One". Best of friends for 36 years. Literally from the sand box, basketball court, proms and now weddings. Bellevue is in our blood man. So, in my eyes we are nothing less than blood brothers. Battle tested and ready to take on the world were lessons we learned as early as 5 years old. Even then, on those bus rides in Kindergarten, all we had was each other. We didn't know at the time but, that was all we needed. No matter how old I get I'll always be ready to lace 'em up with you. We won a city championship at 13 years old but that championship DNA shows more through our brotherhood more than ever. Real recognizes real and you've always been that!

Match made in heaven on and off the court. I couldn't have had that moment without the my Brodie by my side. Little trivia, this man used my ID for a whole year before he turned 21 and got into every establishment. lol

Macon, Georgia My dog! But everybody in "Da County" knows him as "Killa"! Trust me Develle Miller is everything as advertised and lives up to that nickname everyday. We met in middle school on the football field and he also made it a point to beat us up as well on the basketball court too. First time I was ever sent to the principal's office was with Develle and we still will laugh at the story to this day. When I think about all the summers at Mercer's basketball camp and the times we had afterwards it's nothing but good memories. Even in our college days I made it a point to get down to Albany State to cause the same trouble we made in highschool. Develle is that friend that you can always count on and will give you the shirt off his back. Just so you know I always have yours and it will forever be "One Call That's All" with me brother!

East Atlanta, Georgia Some people in your life are on a "One name" basis and when you say "Juug" you already know what time it is. I met Darius while we were botth athletes at Kennesaw State but that was only the beginning because we became so much more there. We both joined Student Government at the same time and he eventually became the SGA President. I knew from that moment you can put Darius in ANY situation and he'll find a way! I bombed my first interview and Darius was there, needed a place for summer school and Darius was there. Now our conversations mainly consist of next level plans and "accountability" is the foundation. Put me in a foxhole with "Juug" any day of the week and twice on Sunday and I like my odds!

You are literally the door that gave us the opportunity to establish Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. at Kennesaw State. In my eyes you will always be a legend bruh. Our motto "Friend is Essential to the Soul" is everything you embody. Not one time have you not been ready to be a friend even when our line drove you crazy. One of the best decisions I ever made was taking that road trip with you to UGA. Some friendships change your life forever and yours definitely did that for the better.
