You really want to know how we met? Alright, let's get started. Ayo and I first crossed paths at work. He was a permanent staff member, while I was an agency staff member. The first time I saw him, what caught my attention was his captivating scent; he had this alluring, pleasant perfume. I couldn't help but think, "hmm..." After noticing his nice scent, we introduced ourselves and started talking. It was like, "Hi, my name is Sam, and yeah, I work here. Are you new?" I replied, "No, I'm an agency staff member. I've been working in the service, but I used to do night shifts. I just decided to pick up this shift." Our conversation flowed naturally, but I noticed he was always on the phone, talking loudly. It was charming but a bit overwhelming. Still, I couldn't ignore the way he looked at me. I liked him too, but I didn't want to show it. I didn't think a relationship was possible, so I pretended nothing was going on to avoid giving false hopes. Then came lunchtime. We decided to get lunch together and went to Subway. I insisted on paying for myself, but he firmly said, "Oh, no, don't worry about it." We had a playful argument in front of the Subway staff, and he insisted, "I'm paying; don't take any money from her." This gesture warmed my heart, and I thought, "Why is he so nice? Does he like me, or is he just a genuinely kind person?" After lunch, we went back to work, and he asked for my number and my Snapchat. I told him I wasn't on Snapchat. He said, "Then give me your number." I hesitated, saying, "No, I can't give you my number." He replied, "I just like you and want to know you better." I was firm, "No, I don't think it's a good idea." So, we left things there, but I kept going back to work. Every time I went to work, he was there. He kept offering to drive me home or get my number. I kept refusing, not because I didn't like him, but because I thought he wasn't my type. I didn't believe we would get along. After some weeks, my best friend, who also worked there and lived with me, went along with him. Knowing we were friends, he asked her, "Regina didn't come to work today, is she home?" She confirmed I was home, and he offered to drive her home. When they arrived, he got my number from her. He messaged me, and I asked, "Who is this?" He replied, "I'm outside." My friend came in and said, "That guy from work is here to see you." I felt a flutter of excitement since I didn't have anything to do. When I saw him, I was happy. Long story short, on the first of 01/02/2022, we went on our first date to Creams in the City Centre. It was a magical evening, and that's when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes. ****** We've been through a lot together, experiencing the ups and downs that every relationship does, especially when you're so different from each other. But I wouldn't trade him for anything or anyone. Then, on my birthday 16th March 2024, he proposed and asked me to be his wife. It was the most beautiful moment of my life. That's our little story. I hope you enjoyed it, and we hope to see you at our wedding soon. Bye!
