Questions & Answers

The Wedding Website of Rachel McDonald and Reginald Bowman
Questions for both The Pre-Wedding Celebration and Ceremony are listed below. If you have any other question other than what we have listed, please reach out to us directly.
Question

Is this a Reception?

Answer

Technically..NO, This is not the traditional sequence of events leading up to the big day. Normally one may have a Bachelor/ Bachelorette party but we are choosing to spend this time with our family and friends since we are having a small intimate wedding the following day. ( BUT, that's not to say we have cut out the parties *wink* lol) Please come out and Expect to have fun and experience all the fun a traditional reception has to offer!

Question

Why have a party before your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Our Ceremony will be held on the cruise ship the following day, and because of security reasons they only allow a certain number of non sailing guests for the wedding. Because of this our number of guest will have to be pretty small, so we thought the party would be a great way to celebrate our union with all of our close family and friends together. We have sent out invitations for the wedding and the party separately, so everyone will have a formal invitation for either event.

Question

Where are you Registered?

Answer

Yes, all of our registries are linked to this website in the "Registry" Icon. We hope that this registry will make it more convenient for you to select something that you know we will love. Please click on the Registry link at the top of the page. But if you would like to give in person you can at the pre wedding celebration!!

Question

Do I need to bring anything the day of the ceremony ?

Answer

Yes!, Please make sure you have the SAME state issued ID that you provided us with all your information so when you arrive you can be checked in and permitted to board the ship

Question

If I'm bringing a small child on the ship what do i need to bring for them?

Answer

All children ages 16 and under who do not have a state issued ID MUST have a government issued Birth certificate to board. Also any baby gear such as strollers, diaper bags and milk/formula are permitted but you can not have any open or closed bottles of water.

Question

Answer

Unfortunately no, a final list must be turned in 45 days prior to the day ceremony and all list are final so if a guest can not attend there is nothing we can do. Please RSVP by September 5th

Question

Will Wheelchairs be provided to board the ship?

Answer

Yes, There will be wheelchairs for individuals who will need the assistance when boarding. Once on board there will not be any wheel chairs provided. You can bring your own wheel chair if you need. If you have a seated walker those are permitted as well.

Question
