I will be updating this section frequently as we all learn new information! Currently, the CDC is requiring a negative COVID test to fly back into the US from Mexico - which means all our guests will have to get tested in Mexico 3 days before returning to the US (YOU DO NOT NEED A NEGATIVE TEST TO ENTER MEXICO). The good news is, our resort is offering FREE COVID rapid tests on resort property 3 days before your departure home. You will receive your results via email within 24 hours. If something happens, and you test positive - the resort offers a complimentary quarantine room for up to 14 days. Keep in mind, this is a relatively new US policy, and it may not last long enough to reach our wedding date - so I will be looking for updates consistently and adding them here if anything changes. Masks are not required on resort property, except in the breakfast buffet line. Please reach out to the bride if you have any questions or concerns pertaining to these COVID-19 policies.
Feel free to book your stay for as long or as short as you like! Many of our family and friends are making a fun vacation out of the wedding trip and are staying anywhere from 3-7 nights at the resort. We DO recommend however, that you arrive at the resort no later than Friday, December 3, 2021, so that guests are able to attend our fabulous Welcome Bonfire on the beach that evening, and so everyone is rested and ready to attend the ceremony on that Saturday.
You WILL need a valid passport to enter Mexico. If you do not have a passport already, make sure you give yourself ample time to acquire one (it does take about 6-8 weeks to receive them). If you currently have a valid passport, check to make sure that it does not expire 6 months AFTER your travel dates (for example: if your passport expires on or before JUNE 2022 - you would need to renew your passport before traveling for our trip), this is a customs requirement for entering Mexico. The guidelines and application forms for U.S. passports can be found here https://www.govoffices.com/forms-passport/?keyword=how%20to%20apply%20for%20passport&creative=423358265490&gclid=CjwKCAjwh472BRAGEiwAvHVfGhcCzldbobTDW5OpF0lAbo5jq7k5hEm1kQ0q6ou3r93r-JFvxbZuLBoCMNUQAvD_BwE
This is completely up to you! We reserved a room block solely to guarantee the resort does not sell out of rooms before our guests can book travel. The room block will ensure a room close to our other guests on the property, whereas if you book through a travel site - you may get placed on the opposite side of the property (you can always request this once at the resort, but it is not guaranteed). Travel sites may offer a more affordable bundle for booking your flights with your room, so we encourage our guests to look at both options and decide which one is better for them.
Dreams is an "all inclusive" resort (most resorts in Mexico are) - meaning ALL of your meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, 3AM room service, and room mini bar snacks) AND ALL of your beverages (coffee, sodas, juices, domestic/imported beers, top-shelf liquor, and room mini bar) are ALL included with your hotel package. Tips/gratuities are also included with this package, so there is no need to carry cash around the resort for this unless you want to give extra. The only amenities that guests are expected to pay for are extras like beach cabanas, gift shop purchases, off-resort excursions, or photos.
While we love all your children, we have decided to have an adults-only wedding event - apart from the children in the bridal party. Please contact the Bride if you have any questions or concerns.
December is our FAVORITE time to vacation in Cancun! Its warm, LOW humidity, and absolutely beautiful! During our stay, Cancun is expected to have a high of 83 degrees Fahrenheit & a low of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. December is one of the driest months in Cancun - so rain is unlikely.
Feel free to contact the bride or groom with any other questions you may have! Just kidding... contact Meagan - because she most likely has the correct answer LOL (770) 349-5479
