We’re so excited!

They first met in the Aquinas College dorms. Greg's suite-mate had friends over and Regan caught Greg's eye through the shared bathroom door. Within weeks, they became study pals in Environmental Biology, a class they shared. They shared many meals at Wege cafeteria before heading to the library or the Moose to study. People watching was one of their favorite activities while on campus with each other. On one of their first visits together outside of campus, Regan showed Greg how to climb the back dune way up the top of Dewey hill, which he thought was an adventure. They bonded that first summer through their mutual love of the outdoors. They tested our relationship on a road trip to the Marquette in the Upper Peninsula. That is still the longest car ride with just the two of them! Greg introduced Regan to the world of skateboarding. Like most kids from Grand Haven, she had longboarded (aka lame-boarded), but that wasn't the same. The two alternated between studying wetland biomes and Santa Monica street art. She helped Greg remember terms like Cnideria and Annelidia. He taught her names like Gonz, Jaws, and Neckface. Greg exposed Regan to the inclusiveness of skateboard culture, something she was learning to cultivate in classrooms. Here was a marvelous world of artists, outcasts, and slightly crazy individuals. In front of her, Regan had an artist, a teacher, a cheerleader, a skater, and a best friend. They survived midterms and finals, moving and roommates, even a two week service-learning trip in Peru together! Thanks to AQ for setting the stage for this adventure to happen. Go Saints!
