What started with a mix-up over chess and cheese has blossomed into a beautiful love story. It all began four years ago when Dak stumbled upon Regan’s Hinge profile. Her bio proudly stated, “I take pride in my cheese boards,” but Dak, with his passion for chess, read it as “chess boards.” Despite this amusing misunderstanding, a month of intriguing conversations led to their first date at Invasive Species Brewing, where they laughed about the mix-up over a cold beer. Their connection was undeniable, and soon their relationship soared to new heights—literally! Dak’s love for aviation took Regan on unforgettable adventures, and their journey together has been filled with remarkable milestones. They welcomed their beloved four-legged son (and Regan’s dream dog), Snorkel, moved in together, and in July 2024, Dak planned the perfect proposal. He whisked Regan away on a sunset flight to ask her to be his forever while in the air. Now, Regan and Dak are thrilled to be planning their dream wedding, which will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in beautiful Islamorada, Florida.
