Travel Note

Should I visit Yellowstone or Glacier while I'm in Montana?

Portions of Yellowstone can be a doable day trip from Bozeman, although multiple days are often recommended for visiting a larger section of the park. Glacier is approximately 6 hours away via car. Sections of Glacier may remain closed until July or longer. Both parks are accessible by car. There is no public transportation or hop-on service between Bozeman and either park. Both parks are incredible and worth seeing, but also extremely busy with tourists. Lodges in Glacier are already completely booked for the summer. Crowds are likely to get bigger as July 4 approaches. If you plan to visit either park, make arrangements asap!

For all the days along the way
