Grah Shanti/Haldi
Reeti & Steven will be dressed in traditional Indian attire for the Haldi celebration. Guests are welcome to wear whatever they feel most comfortable in; however, we encourage festive attire in shades of yellow, orange, pink, and other bright, cheerful colors. Traditionally, yellow is the predominant color worn during Haldi ceremonies, symbolizing turmeric (haldi) and the joy, warmth, and prosperity associated with the celebration. Attire Suggestions: Traditional Indian Attire Women - Salwar suits, including Anarkali, Kurta, or Palazzo styles Men - Simple cotton or linen kurtas Western Attire Women - Sundresses, skirts, jumpsuits, or other casual-chic daytime attire Men - Khakis or dress pants paired with a button-down shirt or polo Most importantly, we encourage you to wear something comfortable that allows you to fully enjoy the festivities.
Wedding Ceremony & Reception
The wedding ceremony will be a traditional Hindu celebration. Reeti and Steven will be dressed in traditional Indian wedding attire, and members of the wedding party as well as immediate family will also be wearing Indian clothing. *Please Note: Due to the event timeline, there will not be an opportunity to change outfits between the ceremony and reception. We encourage guests to select attire that feels comfortable, festive, and appropriate for both portions of the celebration. Attire Options: Traditional Indian Attire Women - Lehengas, sarees, or other formal Indian attire Men - Kurtas, sherwanis, or other formal Indian attire Western Formal Attire (Black Tie Optional) Men - A suit or tuxedo Women - A floor-length gown, formal evening dress, or elevated cocktail dress We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing casual dresses, including sundresses, to help maintain the formal atmosphere of the occasion.
