Meet the people that we chose to stand by and with us on the day we become one!

Mrs. Talisha Anderson-CheeksMrs. Talisha Anderson-Cheeks

Matron of Honor

Our friendship began uniquely, through a provider and patient relationship. I had the honor of being part of the bride's medical team & I remember the day as if it were yesterday; 3/15/22, in exam room 1. That day, Amanda ordained my office with her presence & with her words. She said God had something great in store for me & I needed to be ready to receive His blessing. The visit was supposed to be about her. It quickly became a lesson for me. Amanda followed the assignment God gave her & her message touched me in a way I'll never forget. I wasn't the provider she was the instructor, and I was the student. The clarity of her words stayed with me, and I knew God had used her as a vessel to prepare me for something greater. Amanda is truly one of a kind. She's easy to talk to, listens deeply & her advice comes from a place of love & passion. Over these years, our friendship has blossomed, and now I have the honor of standing by her side on her wedding day. What I know about this bride is that she's loyal, loving, caring, & devoted to her family & friends. She's taught me patience shown me what it means to be fearless when it comes to love. The joy in her eyes & the smile on her face when she speaks of her fiancé reminds me how beautiful true love really is. I'm so blessed to have my little big sis in my life. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her. I will always cherish the bond we share. Amanda has been a blessing to me & on 1/1/26, I celebrate the blessing she is to us all.

Honorary Matron of Honor

As her oldest daughter, I’ve had the privilege of knowing her the longest, and through every season of my life she’s been more than just my mom — she’s been my best friend. She’s the first person I could run to, the one who taught me strength, love, and faith, and the one who has always shown me what it means to never give up. Growing up, I watched her pour so much of herself into her children, always putting us first, always making sure we felt loved. And now, seeing her step into this new chapter — loved, cherished, and celebrated — fills my heart with so much pride and joy. She deserves this kind of happiness more than anyone I know. Mom, I will always admire you not only as the woman who gave me life, but as the woman who taught me how to live it. Today I get to stand beside you as you say “I do,” and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and blessings as you begin this new journey. You deserve the world, and I’m so thankful to call you my mother and my best friend. 💍❤️

My mom who I thank for being everything and more to my sisters & I. You really set the standard when it comes to being a great mother and I'll be forever grateful for your life and the ability to call you mom. Seeing you find love and happiness again fills my heart with joy. I'm so proud of you, Mom-for the courage to open your heart and love again. The beautiful example you've set of what it means to love deeply & fearlessly. Watching you and Reese together reminds me that love can come at any time, and that it's never too late to find the person who truly understands your heart. You deserve every bit of this beautiful new chapter, and I'm so proud to see you step into it with such grace and love. Wishing you and Reese a lifetime of laughter, peace, and endless love. I love you so much.

Bridesmaid

I'll never forget the first time I met Amanda. It all started with her sister, Vita, a colleague of mine who invited me to a girl's night at her home. That evening, Vita introduced me to Amanda, and we immediately clicked. We talked and laughed like we had known each other forever. By the end of the night, we had exchanged numbers, and I overheard Amanda telling Vita, "Lisa is my friend now!" Since that night our bond has only grown stronger. We've become closer through countless family gatherings, shared inspirations, and words of encouragement. It is a blessing to have a friend like you, Amanda. You are a constant source of positivity and support, and I am so honored to celebrate this beautiful union with you. Here's to a lifetime of happiness for you both.!

How it all started (this is my Sea Story Cuhh Cuhh). I stopped you onboard the mighty War Ship 78 to give you some grooming advice. Not the standard Navy stuff. HEY SHIPMATE you need a haircut, or do you know your sideburns are out of regulation? No those would've been easy fixes. Yours was more of a personal preference. As I seen the Bigen dripping down your face I couldn't let you walk around like that LOL. Look at us now, I'm happily retired with a head and beard full of grays and you are jumping the broom but took none of my worldly advice about laying off the Bigen! On a more serious note, I'm so happy for your newfound "Love and forever after!'

From the day we met back in 2008, we’ve been more than just brothers in uniform we’ve been brothers in life. From fishing trips where you’d dive in after a $10 lure, to hunting stories where you somehow managed to shoot the horns clean off a deer, we’ve made memories that still make me laugh every time I think about them. We’ve watched our kids grow upside by side, shared advice through life’s ups and downs, and had each other’s backs when no one else was around. That’s the kind of friendship most people hope for solid, honest, and unbreakable. You’ve been solid from the start, always pushing yourself to keep leveling up in life. It’s no surprise you’ve found someone who matches your drive, your heart, and truly rides for you. That’s growth, that’s real. Seeing you take this next step in life not just as a man, but now as a husband makes me proud to call you my brother. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure for you and your wife. May every day together be better than the last you two truly deserve all the happiness in the world. Congratulations to you both much love and respect!

"From early days of grinding to chasing bigger goals, from learning lessons to celebrating wins, we’ve been through every stage together.Whether it was grinding through work, celebrating milestones, or just kicking back, you’ve been more than a friend — you’ve been a brother. The advice, the jokes, the accountability — it all shaped the bond we have today. Now, as you step into this next chapter with your wife, I’m proud to be by your side. You’ve always pushed forward with drive and determination, never settling for less than your best. The way you level up in life is inspiring, and when I need honesty or perspective, I know I can count on you to give it to me real. Through highs, lows, and everything in between, this journey has been solid — and it’s far from over."
