After three years of persistence, Barb's recommendation for Ethan to text her colleague, Bailey, finally seemed like a good idea. He started: Hey! This is incredibly random, but my mom is Barb Carlson, and she's basically been begging me to reach out to you for 3 years. I figured I'd give it a shot! How are you? (My name is Ethan btw haha). Bailey thought this was the best pick up line and the two proceeded to text, then have video dates until it was decided they should meet in person. Bailey flew to Denver to watch Purdue (Ethan's favorite team) in the NCAA Championships. He went INSIDE the airport to pick her up, with a red rose. Purdue lost the tournament, but Ethan had won Bailey's heart. However, Ethan also had to win Moose's heart, which proved to be more difficult. After some tasty treats and much ball throwing and sweet talking, they became buds. A few more months of back and forth flights and video dates and the couple decided to look for a place together. After Ethan got an exciting promotion, Bailey and Moose moved out to Denver. Fernando graciously (begrudgingly and without choice) began sharing their new home. January 11th, Bailey and Ethan went to dinner at Beckon for a fancy holiday meal. Ethan completely surprised Bailey with the proposal and a gorgeous ring (which he had cleverly hidden in his computer tower for months). Bailey and Ethan are absolutely smitten and looking forward to sticking with each other for the rest of their lives! And Fernando and Moose are starting to finally accept their fate, too.
