Meet us on the floor of the canyon when the light dances off the surrounding walls and the sky turns orange and pink. We've picked a scenic overlook to tie the knot among the junipers where the Comanches once camped and the buffalo grazed in great numbers. Palo Duro Canyon is a sacred and truly incredible place at any hour, but something magical happens there at sunset. Our ceremony will be under the wide Texas sky near Cow Camp Cabin #3 by the end of the park road. The ceremony will be short with no seating. We have camp chairs for guests who have difficulty standing, but we promise not to keep you too long. Attendees may include roadrunners, wild turkeys, jackrabbits, and a species of mouse that only lives in this one place in the whole world. There is parking for cars, bikes, and horses at the cabins and along the road. Give yourself time to hike or bike the trails, drive, or catch a ride to the site. Pick up maps from the friendly rangers at the park entrance.

Join us for a Texas BBQ buffet in the Barrel Room at Bar Z, just down the road from Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Bar Z crafts amazing wines from exclusively Texas grapes and is situated on the same breathtaking canyon system we'll spend the weekend in. We'll have delicious BBQ with soul food sides, decadent cake, and Texas wine and beer. Guests are welcome to explore the winery and enjoy the patio overlooking the canyon, but please keep beer inside the Barrel Room. No outside alcohol is allowed.
