Does the reception immediately follow the ceremony?

Answer

No! Please refer to the invitation or schedule tab for the times for the ceremony and reception! If you are visiting Iowa, refer to the Things to Do tab for some ideas on how to occupy your time!

Is there a dress code?

We would love you to take the night to get all dressed up! Please dress in cocktail/semi formal attire.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one or kids?

Answer

As we would love to celebrate with as many people as possible, we would appreciate if you referred to the number of guests indicated on your RSVP.

Will there be hotel accommodations?

Answer

We do not have any hotel rooms blocked off but have a few recommendations on great affordable locations near the venue so each guest can choose a hotel that best suits their needs! Visit our accommodations tab to see recommended hotels!

Is there parking available at both the venue and reception locations?

Answer

Yes! St. Ambrose has parking located behind the cathedral, west of the cathedral, or on street parking. (We recommend downloading the ParkDSM app to easily pay the meter!) https://www.saintambrosecathedral.org/visitor-guide/ The Des Moines Heritage Center has 2 large parking lots (free of charge!) for parking. They are located next the venue with access off of East 5th St.

Will I be able to request music?

Answer

Yes! Please visit our Song Requests tab to find the link to our DJs website to add songs you would love to hear at the wedding! If you need help text Alexa or just text her the song requests! (515) 556-1423

Will there be food accommodations?

Yes! There will be vegetarian options available!
