Marcus and Cheriha’s love story began in their hometown of Florence, South Carolina back in 2007. They reconnected after graduating college and relocating back home. They ran into each other at a popular local nightclub, numbers were exchanged, and began dating shortly after. After about a year or so, they decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia where Cheriha had attended college. From there, their whirlwind romance began.

On New Year's Eve 2018, Marcus and Cheriha attended the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Black tie Gala for an evening of fun. This is where Marcus knew it was time to change his and Cheriha’s life forever. Before walking into the ballroom, Marcus made a joke about not liking the jewelry Cheriha was wearing and told her to take it off and suggested she wear “this” (the engagement ring) instead. After the tears and excitement, she said “YES”!!!!! Now, after two beautiful children, and 3 years of engagement (planning, COVID pandemic, and procrastination!!), we’re so excited for you to join us as we say “I do!!” on October 29, 2021.
