After weeks of debating via text over whether the Cavs or the Warriors were going to win the playoffs, Kuldip insisted he would easily beat me in arcade basketball on our first date. Of course I didn't want to embarrass him so I recommended we start off with brunch first. He made reservations at Caroll's place in the city but little did I know I would barely get a word in. I knew right there this man loves to talk but lucky for him I loved hearing him talk about his life and family and friends. After a few mimosas in he set up a mini-golf date, at this point I knew we were both highly competitive and I had a feeling he thought I would be tipsy enough to lose. We made a bet at the beginning of the date that If i lost I would let him take me out on a second date. Till this day I would like to think I am certainly the better mini golfer but I am so happy I lost on that first date because it eventually lead us to here, getting married making our wedding website. From 2016 till now, it's still a tradition of ours to go play a round of mini-golf and I can't wait to continue drinking mimosas and playing mini-golf for as long as we can.
Beginning of Summer 2016, my friend Suveera told me she had a cousin who was really chill, nice and good at basketball. Naturally, I was intrigued. Good at basketball. What?!. A few weeks later, we were connected through a group chat, and I immediately tried to set up a hang out. I’d say, I was being a little too hasty because Reema promptly ghosted me after a few days of texting. If you know me, I am not one to give up easy. A month later, I went back to the drawing board and sparked a conversation about the cleveland cavaliers winning the NBA championship. This spark of a conversation, grew into a decent flame which led to me asking her out on a date for brunch and a mini-golf match for our first date. As I walked up to our first date, wearing my favorite shirt, I was relieved to have gotten there on time. Reema calls, she can’t find me. I tell her I am wearing a purple shirt. I finally find her. Wow. She’s certainly pretty to say the least. Brunch was great. I remember talking like a million miles per hour. I was definitely nervous for sure. We ended up having one of the most fun times during brunch talking about both our individual journeys to this point. Next stop Mini Golf. As we get to the Mini Golf course, I say why not spice this up. A light hearted bet. If I win, I get another date and if she wins I buy her Ice cream. I swiftly defeat Reema in a fun and playful game of mini golf and the rest is history.
