Charlie and I met online (yes you heard that right) in April of 2014 and officially started dating in May. It turned out that we both associated with Shallowater. It is Charlie’s hometown and I was a nanny for the Pitts family who attended school there. Our first date included a home cooked dinner that Charlie had all planned out and it was soo good. Charlie came into my life at the most perfect time. I was struggling financially and had one of the hardest years of my life. The first time he came to my apartment he helped with my mounds of laundry and noticed I barely had any groceries. He spent his hard earned money on groceries to fill my kitchen with. I knew then that he was the man I needed in my life forever. Engagement 06/07/17 Let’s just say Charlie isn’t the best at hiding things and he was nervous/anxious the entire day. He had taken a weeks vacation off of work and planned for us to go to Llano Estacado Winery. I kind of figured this was the day. He mentioned how his grandma was maybe going to be there along with some other family members which made me think this is definitley happening! We got ready and left the house. He told me to get in the car while he went to grab “something.” We went to eat at Teddy Jacks with his dad. We finished eating and headed to Llano. The tour seemed like it went on for hours. I was ready to taste wine and have a ring on my finger already! As we walked around the tasting room I kept looking at Charlie’s pockets looking for a box. I did not have any luck, so I thought maybe I was wrong and today is not the day. I am not wrong very often.. We finished the tasting and still no proposal. We then walked outside through the garden walkway and Charlie stopped me. He then got down on one knee and said “Danielle Lauren Reedy will you marry me?” Y’ALL IT HAPPENED. His dad took a video and picture of the best day of my life. Even though I was 99% sure it was happening that day, my reaction showed otherwise. The moment was so surreal.
