FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kylie Reed and Jake Bowles
HELLO TO ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL WEDDING GUESTS! As we count down the days to our special celebration in Mexico, we wanted to share some important information and helpful tips to ensure everyone has an incredible time.
Question

Airport Arrival

Answer

If you have never been to Cancun or have not been recently, we recommend watching "Cancun Airport Tips" on youtube, to get familiar. It walks you through how to navigate once you arrive and the updates with the new E Gates. The new E Gates are an option for those traveling without children and can greatly expedite the customs process. Once through customs. just keep walking until you get outside. If you reserved your transportation through Destination Weddings, they will be waiting for you with a sign outside. Do not stop and talk to other individuals offering transportation.

Question

Tips upon arrival

Answer

Head straight to your concierge upon arrival to secure any dinner reservations you desire. Make sure to download the El Dorado Royale App for daily schedules and restaurant details across all resorts. If you are interested in a spa treatment, you can make those appointments once you arrive. You are often able to negotiate a lower price as well!

Question

Dress Code

Answer

We do not have a requirement for any of our events, we are happy to have all of our guests there with us on our special day, no matter what you are wearing. The ceremony is in outside in a garden, and the recpeption will be in the evening on the beach, so please plan accordingly.

Question

RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS

Answer

All of the restaurants are great, but here are a few of our suggestions from reviews we have seen about the resort. We strangly encourage making reservations with your concierge as soon as your arrive. Most reservations are limited to 6 guests, so be sure to coordinate reservations if you are planning on dining with a larger group. You can also put your name in at a restaurant to join the waiting list! Plenty of places to grab a cocktail while you wait. Breakfast: Paims (overlooks the ocean) La isia (live music) Cocotal (buffet) Santa Fe Room service Lunch: La Isla pool (wood fired pizza) Kampai (same menu as dinner, but shorter wait) Health bar (salads, sandwiches, smoothies) Dinner: D'italia Kampai

Question

Tipping

Answer

Whether you're chilling at the resort or checking out the local scene, both USD and MXN are widely accepted. Tossing a little extra for that poolside drink or awesome service can make your experience even better.

Question

Additonal Tips

Answer

Don't forget your sunscreen! The resort has sunscreen for sale, but it is a bit overpriced. If you are not planning to check a bag. you can also purchase a full size bottle of sunscreen at the airport once you arrive. While still higher priced than at home, it's less than the resort! Pack a pen in your carryon. It will be helpful should you need to fill aut any customs forms. No Need for Adapters. You won't need adapters for your electronics, so pack light and stress-free. Feel free to bring a pool float, especially if you opted for a swim-up room or Casita.
