We met at a bar in 2021 — what started as a Saturday brunch with friends at Dogwood in downtown Nashville quietly set everything in motion. What we didn’t realize at the time was that we had actually been in close proximity to each other since elementary school. We both attended Holy Rosary Academy and Father Ryan High School in Nashville, TN. Being two years apart, our paths never directly crossed until years later, when we were both living back home in Nashville. Over our four years together, we’ve tried countless new restaurants and discovered even more ways to make ordinary days feel special. From that beach trip with friends, we somehow agreed to go on after knowing each other for only a couple of months, to cheering on the UT Vols and Michigan Wolverines at football games, exploring big cities, and dancing our way through so many friends’ weddings. Being surrounded by all that love has helped our own relationship grow in ways I never expected. And through all of it, we’ve learned that no matter the activity or whatever life throws our way, we’d always rather experience it together. What started as two people just trying to figure life out has turned into a real team. Building a home, a future, and a little family with our pup, Bear. Somewhere along the way, our future stopped being a someday idea and became something we were already building — so making it official just felt right. Reed planned a weeklong trip to Puerto Rico — part relaxation, part adventure, and a chance to just enjoy being together. We spent our days by the pool, wandering through San Juan, and hiking El Yunque. But the moment that changed everything came on June 19, 2025.That evening, we visited Castillo San Felipe del Morro, where a surprise picnic was waiting with a “Marry Me?” sign. Reed got down on one knee, and Miranda said “yes” through plenty of happy tears. Behind the scenes, Reed had worked with her cousins and mom to help set everything up. From then on, we have been celebrating all the happiness that comes with being engaged. Now as we approach August 2026, we are excited that we will have all our loved ones join us in celebrating the life and love we have created throughout these years. We would not be the couple we are today without every single one of you and your impact on our lives.
