Maya had mentioned that she would love a beach proposal, but she knew that wasn't going to happen because they had no trips planned any time soon. One day, our friend "randomly" invited us to his parent's beach house for Easter weekend. Even though it was last minute, Maya thought this would be so fun and spontaneous! The first day we went to the beach, huddled up with blankets because the wind was so strong, then walked by the water for the sunset. The second night, we went out for dinner then went to walk on the pier. We had to walk through a little shack where there a band was playing live music. Maya thought we should sit and listen for a while but everyone else wanted to go walk down the pier in the cold, windy evening. So we started walking. Maya wanted to stop for pictures, but everyone else wanted to keep walking, so she walked. She walked to the end of the pier and looked out over the edge then noticed no one had followed her. She turned around to find Reed on one knee, asking her to marry him. "I've been waiting for the perfect moment," he said. She looked up to find all three of their friends recording the moment. After stopping by the beach for the sunset, we drove back home to find that our friends had set up decorations. We drank champagne, ate cake, and celebrated with great friends :)
