Question

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE UPDATE

Answer

We want to inform everyone that the wedding ceremony will now be starting at 4pm (instead of 5pm, as stated on the printed invitations). We decided to move it up an hour to enjoy more daylight! We apologize for any confusion this may cause. Please stay tuned for the location & timing of transportation to Gorrono Ranch! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all! R&K

Question

How do I travel between Telluride and Mountain Village?

Answer

Telluride and Mountain Village are joined by a 13-minute free gondola. The gondola operates seven days a week from 6:30am-midnight and is the best way to commute between the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village.

Question

Is there public transportation in the town of Telluride and Mountain Village?

Answer

Yes! For free transportation in the town of Telluride, look for the Galloping Goose bus stops throughout town. For free transportation to private homes in Mountain Village, use Dial-A-Ride. The service operates seven days a week during the winter and summer seasons (not during shoulder seasons). To access this public service amenity, follow these steps: 1. Dial (970) 728-8888 and provide your pickup location, your destination and the number of people in your party. You must have your unique access code. 2. Telluride Concierge mandates a three-minute wait time at drop-off, if round-trip service is requested.

Question

What should I wear in Telluride during October?

Answer

Layers are key in the fall mountain weather, as sunshine can shift to afternoon showers (even snow!) on a dime. Our ceremony will be outdoors, so please plan to dress warmly and wear sensible footwear. Consider wearing boots or block heels - stilettos are discouraged.

Question

How do I acclimate to the altitude?

Answer

The town of Telluride sits at 8,750' in elevation, and as you venture to Mountain Village, the elevation increases nearly 10,000'. For easier acclimation: Consider spending an afternoon or the night in Montrose (elevation 5,807') to allow your body to slowly adjust to the altitude. Be sure to stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes. Use moderation when drinking alcohol.
