Reed and I met by happenstance. Reed was in the interior architecture program and I was in the business school, so our paths rarely crossed. During Fall semester of Junior year I was in the mindset of saying yes to everything. It was during our last night of voting for my fraternity when I was approached by a friend and asked if I wanted to go to the AOPi bid bash. I said yes and we had a fantastic time! I was so entranced by her that I needed to ask her out on another date. Our official first date was horrific. I took some bad advice and we went to a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Que. We were the only ones there and neither of us knew how to eat the pho so left incredibly hungry. However, I was not deterred by the poorly planned date and kept up communication with Reed who somehow was not deterred either. We left for Christmas break still keeping in touch but since I knew that Reed was about to go on a study abroad for the spring semester, I planned a trip from Austin to Nashville to be sure to visit her before she left. During my time there, we both knew that we wanted to be together. From there the rest is history. Over the past 6 years we have survived long distance across the pond, a global pandemic, living in different cities after graduation, me working full time and doing graduate school, taking a year break in California for Reed's job, and moving back to Nashville to complete my graduate program. It was only after all of this that I asked Reed to marry me the weekend of my graduation, May 10th 2025. We got married that December 12th in a small, intimate ceremony. We are so excited to celebrate our marriage surrounded by our loved ones on May 9th, 2026 and hope you can be there!
