We like to joke that we owe our relationship to Mark Zuckerberg, because it was the famed Facebook Dating where we first matched in October of 2024. Reed messaged Addie right away, telling her the first thing he noticed—her smile. Addie replied one (painstakingly long) week later, and from that moment on, we have talked nonstop. Our first date was supposed to be “Hoosier Hysteria,” but we couldn’t even wait that long to meet each other. Before that scheduled date arrived, we had already gone on two amazing dates. During our very first date, Reed told Addie, “I’ve never been on a second date,” which gave Addie all the confidence in the world. Reed officially asked Addie to be his girlfriend on November 10th, 2024. Since then, our adventures together have been nothing short of unforgettable. From Iowa to Florida, and everywhere in between, our relationship has always been full of laughter, compassion, and intentionality. Some highlights include spending two weeks in Florida, sitting front row at the Grand Ole Opry, and sledding on icy Indiana county roads with Reed’s 88 year old Papaw (who did end up in the ER, but that’s a story for another day.) Then on November 29th, 2025, Reed proposed to Addie in front of what will be their home in French Lick. As soon as Addie said yes, snow instantly began falling. We both say it feels like we have known each other our whole lives. We undoubtedly agree it feels as if there has been a lifetime of memories squeezed into the time we have known each other. Yet with all of this history, our greatest adventure lies ahead. We are thrilled to be able to share it with you, our closest friends and family.
