Not only can you visit the iconic Seattle landmark, but the park here also houses a museum on music history called MoPop, a seriously killer playground for kids and adults, a huge fountain, the Seattle Armory and food court, The Pacific Science Center and The Dale Chihouly Art Museum. So, yes, you can spend the whole day in this area!
We have some amazing parks and trails in our city. Most of them have great playgrounds too. Our top recommendations are: Seward Park, Greenlake, Olympic Sculpture Park, and Discovery Park.
You can do Pike's Place, walk down to the waterfront and then grab an Uber or walk to the Olympic Sculpture Park.
The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) and the Wooden Boat Museum are both located in South Lake Union. While the museum name sounds somewhat drab, it is really cool inside and presents Seattle history in a palatable way. We also highly recommend taking a 45 minute cruise on Lake Union on Sunday before the wedding. http://www.seattleferryservice.com/sunday-ice-cream-cruise/ Lake Union is walking distance from the Space Needle grounds.
We wanted to add our wedding venue to the map so you can get a feel for how far things are from each other.
