It was April 2022, and Alyssa had just started working at Lowe's down in Athens, OH, where they went to Ohio University. She didn't think much of the cute guy with orange shoes walking through the aisles she worked in. The manager introduced them to each other, and they stood awkwardly, shaking hands. Mary (the manager) introduced Brady as the "go-to guy for whatever you need." (Shoutout, Mary, for their first real interaction!) A few weeks after that, Alyssa left for the trip of a lifetime. She was going to Greece with her mom, their first time in Europe. While Alyssa was away from work for three weeks, Brady was left with wondering thoughts: "Did she quit?" "Am I ever going to see her again?" When Alyssa was in Greece, she got a text from her roommate, "Our neighbor works at Lowe's he said he met you." Alyssa was shocked (in a good way); she couldn't believe the cute guy at work was her neighbor! When she finally returned from Europe, Brady took a sigh of relief when he saw her back at work. One day, they were both outside on their porches at the same time, and they made plans to go to the bars later that night with Alyssa's roommates. After many rumple shots later, sitting in Crystal at OU, the Guardians game was on, and Alyssa commented something about how much she loved the "Indians." This was a huge revelation for Brady, and he was already smitten. Later that night, when Alyssa and her roommate were in line waiting for hot dogs, Brady did a swift Irish Goodbye. A few minutes later, Alyssa got a DM on Instagram: "So I might have Indians tickets - you wanna go?" Her response was "Bro, give me your snap." After Snapchatting for a few days, Brady wanted to grill out for the 4th of July. He invited Alyssa and her roommates over for some hot dogs and burgers. Brady and Alyssa were flirting and living in their own world the rest of the night. Once it was just the two of them left hanging out, and as if Brady had known Alyssa his whole life, he asked, "Wanna go look at the stars?" They snuck their way onto Brady's roof and had one of the best conversations of their lives. They discussed religion, politics, life, their goals, values, and family —basically, everything you would want to know about someone. They both knew this was a very special person and might be the one for them. That night was the beginning of forever for them. They both agreed their date to the Guardians game was the best first date they had ever been on. It truly was meant to be.
