The Shepherd Hotel Downtown Clemson

We have secured a block of rooms at The Shepherd Hotel Downtown Clemson. Please use the link below to secure the group rate. Nightly rates range $249-$269 The Shepherd Hotel is also the location of our welcome party (see more about the welcome party on the Schedule tab!). It is about a 10-15 minute drive from our wedding venue. Given the location of The Shepherd in the heart of downtown Clemson, travel time on Saturday may increase due to travel into campus to watch the game (Clemson plays at LSU at 7:30pm) We chose the Shepherd Hotel not just because of the beauty of the hotel and views, but also because of the mission of the hotel. Below is a snapshot of the hotel's story - more on their mission is on their website linked below. The story of Shepherd Hotels began with a shared belief that true hospitality isn’t about what you do for people — it’s about how you make them feel. Inspired by the Clemson family, the vision was to create an upscale, boutique hotel that would bring people together and positively impact lives. For your convenience, we have booked a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Clemson. You can book online with the link below or by phone, specifically mentioning the Pogreba / Redd wedding block. This hotel is a 7-10 minute drive from our welcome party venue (see more about the party on the Schedule tab!) and a 5-8 minute drive from our wedding venue. Nightly rate: $149

Travel Note

Homes on the Water

Clemson is surrounded by two beautiful lakes - Lake Hartwell and Lake Keowee. Both lakes have homes available on Airbnb and VRBO within a short drive to our welcome party (see more about the party on the Schedule tab!) and our wedding venue. If you are planning to stay on the water, we highly recommend double checking the route from the house to the venue(s). There are some areas of the lake that look close by, but require driving halfway around the lake to cross the water.

Flight

Airports

The two closest airports are Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) and Atlanta. GSP is ~50 minutes from Clemson and Atlanta is ~1.5 hours.
