It all started one night in December of 2023. Jimmy’s fire station, was having their annual Christmas party down in San Diego. At the same time, Bri’s salon was having their party the same day. Unknown to either of them Jimmy’s captain, Matt, was the husband of one of Bri’s coworkers, Chelsea. Chelsea was going to the fireman party after the salon party and brought Bri along. Bri and Jimmy met at a bar in the Gaslamp District. Jimmy being polite, shook her hand and offers to buy her a drink; she already had one. He asked her how her night was going and in the middle of that question the live band at the bar began playing “Free Bird” by Lynard Skynard. Jimmy said “I’m sorry I’ll be right back, this is my favorite song…” and left Bri with the group. He comes back, shirt half undone and sweaty, and tries to start the conversation again to no avail. The group stays together for the rest of the night while bar hopping. Bri did not have any interest in Jimmy, but finally through some light convincing from friends he finally got her to sit down and talk. Conversation was easy and fun, but as the night was coming to a close Jimmy offered to walk her back to her car. While trying to come up with a way to get her number, Bri stopped him and said “Hey dude take my number” because he don’t hear her the first time. (Shocker) The next morning he texted her to meet up for coffee. He picked her up and they went to Claire’s on Cedros. After an amazing breakfast, she invited him into her home to meet her parents. Jimmy stayed and talked for 5 hours before FINALLY leaving to drive home to Simi Valley. Fast forward to today; they now have their dog and cat, Piper and Munch. They sold their home in Simi Valley and bought property in Fallbrook and are currently building their dream home where they plan to grow their love filled family.
