Hannah's 23rd birthday wasn't planned as a surprise party, but when her college roommate unexpectedly brought along Dan, she had a feeling this guest was going to be a part of her life for more than one night of dancing and singing. The two, who happened to live on the same street separated by Patterson Park in Baltimore, connected immediately. Within a week, after arriving to a trivia night a bit earlier than the rest of the team, Dan knew that Hannah was someone he wanted in his life. A month later, after awkwardly saying "This is my...Dan?" to other partygoers celebrating St. Patrick's Day, Hannah and Dan realized they were in a relationship and made it official. The next year saw them enjoying Baltimore together, getting to meet each other's friends and families, and Dan gradually surpassing Hannah as their dog's favorite. They discovered many shared passions - board games, baseball, football, standup comedy, beer and wine, and traveling the world. In 2017, Dan and Hannah moved to Minneapolis so that Hannah could pursue her graduate studies in clinical psychology. In the face of cold winters and a global pandemic, they grew closer, fostered great new relationships, and began imagining what the future would hold for them. In December 2022, as Hannah was anticipating moving away for the final part of her training, the two revisited the Baltimore park that they had visited so often in their first year. After a day touring their favorite Charm City spots, Dan asked Hannah to continue their journey with marriage. Of course, she said yes. They have enjoyed a long engagement navigating major milestones including Hannah's graduation, new jobs for both of them, and moving not once but twice -- first Richmond, and finally Houston! After sharing all of these life events together, they are excited to celebrate the greatest milestone yet with friends and family in October!
