Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones and even your teenagers, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. Our day will be celebrated by adults only. Please reach out if you have questions!

Check your favorite weather app. We are currently expecting weather in the mid 40º F. Look for an update closer to the ceremony date.

Where should I park?

Ceremony at UMD Chapel: - Free parking spaces are conveniently located directly behind the Chapel in 'Lot Y' - If 'Lot Y' is filled then additional free parking is available, (1) Exit the lot at the barrier (which rises automatically as you approach it), (2) Turn right onto Chapel Drive, (3) Turn left at Regents Drive, (4) Take the first right into 'Lot L' or continue in 'Lot L' to the first right, giving you access to and additional 'Lot C' to your left Reception at Kogak: There are plenty of free parking spaces available where guests can park in venue parking lot.

What's the dress code?

Formal/Black Tie Optional: Tuxes, Suits and Gowns are welcome. Traditional Ethiopian attire is also welcome.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We will have a small window where you can take non flash photos, after that we want you to be present in the moment, and allow our photographer to be able to take shots without a bunch of phones visible in the frame.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We will not have a hotel block available for guests, however, we have provided a few recommendations in the Travel section of the website.
