The GM Renaissance Center is the tallest building in Detroit Towering over 75 floors in sky! It is home to General Motors and many other local Detroit businesses. For car lovers the display of unique GM models may attract you, and for those who love art, the architecture in this building is truly unique with stunning views of the Detroit River. There are many food locations within the Renaissance Center food court. This building is located close to "The Fist of Joe Louis" and "The Spirit of Detroit" along with other iconic Detroit Sculptures/Artwork. It is also located right next to the Detroit Riverwalk!
The Little Caesars Arena is the newest sports arena in downtown Detroit, it is the location where the Detroit Redwings and Pistons play there games. It holds many restaurants that are open to the public on the ground floor, you can walk in and see part of the stadium and grab a bite to eat, stopping in the pro shop on the way out! It is also very close to both of Detroit's other sports stadiums, Comerica Park and Ford Field for sports fanatics! It is close to all of the downtown action and is a must go to area for those exploring downtown.

Layfayette Coney Island is unique because it claims to be the Original Detroit Coney island and is famous for its Coney Dogs. Layfayette Coney Island is not the only restaurant claiming to be the first Coney Island, next door is American Coney island serving up what they claim to be the original Detroit Coney Dog. If you are exploring the city and looking for a quick, cheap bite, you might try stopping in at both of these locations trying one coney at each and determining which one is is your favorite. This is a Detroit rivalry as almost everyone from the area has their own personal preference on which location is the best!
Buddy's pizza is one of the best locations to get a Classic Detroit, Square Deep Dish Pizza. With a location right downtown by all of Detroit's sports stadium, this place would be a perfect location to grab a slice after doing a stadium tour!
Located inside the "Detroit Shipping Company", a cool bar with many other restaurants inside. each restaurant operates inside of a shipping container and is like a stationary food truck, with limited menu but amazing food. COOP Caribbean Fusion is one of the most delicious in our opinion but feel free to try them all!
Walking the Detroit Riverwalk starting downtown is a beautiful walk that will take you up along the Detroit River. Walk past skyscrapers, art, parks, and the downtown area. you can walk down to the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre and continue on almost all the way up to Belle Isle, one of Detroit's scenic gems.
Mom's Spaghetti is a pop up restaurant started by Detroit's own Eminem. The phrase was made famous in his hit song Loose Yourself in the early 2000's but it wasn't until just this year that he opened his Detroit restaurant. This places serves spaghetti, meatballs, and their famous "sketti sandwich".
