Tom took me hiking at Starved Rock Park. I had never felt so in love with someone as I did on that date. The nature and fresh air just added another layer to the whole date. I was and still am so carefree with Tom, this date is the one that really brought that out in me. In the moment when we got to Eagle Point and I was looking at Tom while he overlooked the river below, I knew he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We have gone on plenty of dates since then, but this date will always and forever hold a special place in my heart as the day I knew Tom would be my Husband.
My story with Rebekah is one of pure love. From the first moment I laid eyes on her I had a feeling, a feeling that would grow and grow with every passing moment. I didn’t know what it was at first, but it didn’t take long to figure it out. That feeling was true love. True love to me can only be described as being hit by a ton of bricks in the best way possible. Our personalities are so close it was shocking to me at first. Especially with how quiet we were on our first date. Our first date comprised of the two of us driving around her home town of Taylorville, IL. As well as a dinner date in the evening. But that is not what made that day so special, what did make it so special was how spontaneous it was. I had just gotten off work and really wanted to meet her, and she felt the same. So we decided we would meet. I drove the 3hrs down to see her. I had a lot of time to think about how it would go and what she was like in person. Rebekah blew away every single expectation I had of her. That’s what made me fall for her. I knew I wanted to marry her within a couple of months. So just shy of 8 months on March 1st 2025 I asked her to marry me. I have truly never loved anyone as much as I love this amazing woman.
