Formal invitations will be sent around 90 days prior to the wedding to collect RSVP information. For planning purposes, only the individuals listed on your RSVP envelope will be invited to the wedding. We have a limit on guests allowed per venue policy and are looking forward to celebrating with as many of our close family and friends as possible!
Only individuals listed on the save-the-date/invitation are invited to the wedding. Please note there is a 25ft deep pond located at the venue that is NOT enclosed. Per venue policy, any children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and remain within arms reach of the child. We ask that if you have a child under the age of 12 listed on your invitation you consider finding other arrangements for them for the evening, or designate an invited adult to be with them at all times. We also ask the adult supervising any kids stay sober and alert throughout the evening. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and making sure our wedding is safe and fun for everyone!
Due to venue capacity limits, we ask that only the individuals listed on your invitation attend the wedding.
The vibe is "running through a field of wildflowers, with the breeze flowing through your hair, on a warm and sunny summer day". To be more specific: Men: Long pants,... We ask that you please do not wear jeans. Women: The wedding party is not wearing one specific wedding color, so don't worry about your dress or suit clashing with those in the wedding. However, we do ask that you please refrain from wearing white unless you are the bride.

Yes! When invitations are sent out, you will receive a link to RSVP. You will be able to note on your RSVP any dietary restrictions or allergies. We ask you note all individuals with dietary needs so we can ensure we have enough quantities to feed everyone.
Shupe Homestead has parking to accommodate XX cars. We ask that you try to carpool with other guests to ensure there is enough space for everyone. Uber and Lyft are available, but may take some time due to the venue being in a rural location. If you will be drinking at the reception, please make sure you have a designated driver established prior to drinking. Shupe Homestead does allow cars to be left at the venue overnight if needed, with the understanding they will be picked up the following morning prior to 10AM. We appreciate everyone making safe choices!
Yes! We will be having a Welcome Party the evening before the wedding. More details to come closer to the wedding.
Yes! Please see the tab at the top of this page labeled 'TRAVEL'. We have booked a hotel block at the XXX hotel. In addition, there are many hotel, Airbnb, and VRBO options in the surrounding area to the venue. We recommend looking in Longmont, Boulder, or Berthoud for the closest options.
Denver is known as the mile high city! This high altitude means less oxygen is available in the air. For those traveling from lower elevations, you may notice some effects from this change. Signs of altitude sickness can include headache, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, changes in vision, and malaise. To help with these symptoms we recommend drinking lots of water, getting good sleep, and taking it easy when it comes to physical activity. If you have any pre-existing conditions that may be affected by the high altitude, make sure you check with your doctor prior to traveling to ensure you are prepared. On wedding day, we will have cans of oxygen available at the venue to anyone who may need an extra boost. You can also buy these cans of oxygen in most gas stations, the airport, and big box stores in Colorado. If you are planning to drink at the wedding, be aware that the high elevation can make you feel the effects of alcohol quicker. Make sure to pace yourself and drink lots of water!
While we love both of our cats dearly, to maximize the comfort of the brother-sister duo, they will remain at home patrolling for birds and squirrels. For our fellow pet enthusiasts, the venue will feature barn cats, cows, horses, and fish on the property.
