About the Couple

Bekah grew up in Sandown and went to Timberlane Regional High School; Myles grew up in Hampstead and went to Pinkerton Academy. When the question of, "Where have you been all my life?" was posed, the answer was simply in another school district.

How We Met

Building Something Great

Myles and I met while working at the Home Depot in Plaistow. Our first interaction was when I was still working part time in Garden, before being promoted to full time closer in Paint. He showed me the most valuable feature on the FIRST phone: seeing what department and item belonged in. It was brief, but it stuck with me because he was friendly and showed me something incredibly useful. My first "I officially have a work crush" moment was shortly after I had been transferred to Paint, and Myles had been newly promoted to department head of Plumbing. He had stopped by the store after his DH training in Portsmouth. I was with my supervisor at the time, Sam Cunningham, and Myles walked past the Paint Desk. I looked at Sam and said, "Wow.. He cleans up nice." Like, daaaamn! So that's when I knew I was in trouble. Being a licensed lift operator, Myles has to have a spotter flag him to and from the aisles and make sure customers don't enter the zone of safety. He asked me to flag for him a couple of times, and we started talking about our interests. He had seen on Facebook that my cover picture was the build of my PC; it was my first time building a computer and picking out all the parts and I was excited about it, ergo I wanted to show it off. So in addition to an attraction there was the fact we're both nerds. It took me a little while to work up the nerve to talk to him outside of work. I broke the ice by suggesting we play Borderlands 2 sometime. The more we talked, the harder I fell. After about a month, we decided to go on our first date. I already had plans to go to Walker Stalker Boston, but I cut my day a little short so I'd be back in time for us to get dinner together. About a week later, he won tickets from work to a Lowell Spinners game. That night we decided to become "Facebook Official." We only just played Borderlands 2 together for the first time back in March (2019).
