Mother of the Bride
Regina is my mama and my dearest love. Growing up, she always worked immensely hard and encouraged my family to never stop moving forward. In my career now, she is my biggest fan! If you know my mama, you know she practices the kind of love that puts others first. She would make our house be open for any friend that needed it - no one was left out. She is beautiful and kind and strong and funny, and I feel so lucky to have her as my mother. She has such a genuine and radiating smile. A fond memory i have is playing Scrabble with her and getting absolutely dominated by her scrabble word-finding skills! Another fond memory I have is her praying with us every morning on the way to school. She has prayed for me and my siblings our entire lives and I will forever be motivated to be like her.
Mother of the Groom
Carmen or "Ma" as Deion would call her moved to the United States as a young adult and did so with the intent to create better opportunities for her family. After long years of being a CNA and a EKG tech, she now works at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL - she is a real frontline hero. She has fought for her family over the years, and she holds them near and dear to her heart. A couple of roles she played in addition to being a boy MOM: taxi driver, teacher, coach, mender of hearts, late night listener, water bringer, grilled cheese maker, homework helper, translator of the woman language, sport enthusiast.. you get it. She did what she had to to raise respectful boys. Carmen dreamed of the day her son's would find the wives and she has been praying for them for a long long, long time.
Father of the Bride
Joe is my daddy! He supported and loved my family so well growing up. He was at any and every sporting event that we had. My dad was the parent that always volunteered, in order to be a part of our sports. He encouraged us in the Lord every step of the way growing up. He woke up early and made our lunches every morning! I still remember the turkey sandwich with Italian dressing. Some fond memories I have with my daddy is after graduating college. He flew out with me across the country to the Florida Panhandle, helped me find a place to live, and then one week later helped me to furnish my apartment and move in. Some other fond memories I have are at the USS Midway, Coronado Island, and the WWII museum in New Orleans. He always taught us about history and military and I love him very much!
Father of the Groom
Ivan or "Dad" as Deion would call him moved to the United States as a young adult and did so with the intent to create better opportunities for his family. After a few years of washing dishes at Brown University, he founded Cossio Trucking LLC established 1999 - he is a real frontline hero. A couple of roles she played in addition to being a Dad: coach, teacher, listener, calmer of rooms, the one who grabbed the bill, the one who got the pizza on Friday nights, the one who showed us how to drive, the one who always picks up the phone...you get it. He did what he had to to raise respectful boys. Ivan taught his boys respect for the authority, he also instilled confidence in them that has served them every step of the way.
Matron of Honor
Seriah is my absolute best friend in the entire world! We are ultimately sisters, friemndas. From the moment her family moved in next door when we were 2 and 3, no amount of time or distance could come between us. We were little trouble makers back then hehe! Some of the fondest memories I have with her are shared when visiting her in the summers and then getting the rare opportunity to live with her and her family right after college. In this time, I was starting my first "big girl job" and she was dedicating her time to studying for Medical School. God gave us that time to come together and go through the odd season after college not alone, but with each other. Now she is in Medical School and happily married to the love of her life. I cannot wait for her to be standing by my side!
Best Man
Deion's Day 1 Best friend! Ivan and Deion ruled the streets of Warwick, RI when they were growing up. Tearing it up in backyard baseball and riding bikes together till the sun went down. Ivan and Deion were always together. Ivan and Deion played every sport together and went to every school together as they were just one grade apart! They batted 3 and 4 in the line up and they were a pitchers worst nightmare! No one ever bullied Deion growing up because they didn't want to mess with Ivan. Deion once got sent to the corner for punching a kid in the stomach for messing with Ivan. To this day, these brothers are always looking out for each other. Ivan married the love of his life, Stephanie, in 2016. Ivan and his beautiful family live in Poinciana, FL.
Maid of Honor
Sarah is my beautiful big sister! I feel so lucky to have had someone to look up to growing up. Sarah was my first friend and play mate. When I got to college, Sarah was there to help me find my way around and make sure that I always had everything I needed. If you know Sarah, you know she has a love for Disney that is not matched! She is the best person to go to Disney with and I hope everyone has a chance to go with her. A fond memory I have is going to Disney and learning about unique activities they have. Specifically, drawing characters in California Adventure! Sarah doesn't lose games, she challenges my brain to work to beat her! She has always been there when I have been lonely. She has always shown that big sister love. I am so thankful for her and her creativity and and smarts!
Groomsman
Zech and Deion go back quite a ways. They became especially close when they became roomates in Panama City, FL in 2020. Friends really since 2017, Zech and Deion would have have long conversations on the phone about what life could look like in the future. Deion was always trying to get Zech work where he was working because Deion believed and still believes that any room is better with Zech in it! Zech has played a pivotal role in R+D, and he has been Deion's right hand man really for the last year. The night of the proposal could not have happened without the help of Zech! He orchestrated the whole thing! There is no mountain to high or task to tall to hold Zech back. Many would call Zech the GOAT! Zech is single - Ladies and Gents, WATCH OUT!
Maid of Honor
Deborah is my beautiful little sister. Growing up, I got to be that big sister to her., just like Sarah was to me. Deborah and I are very similar - we both love to shop, workout, and go to coffee shops to take cute pictures. She steals my clothes, but I also steal hers. I know I can always count on her to give it to me straight in any situation, like if I look bad in an outfit haha! A fond memory I have is when we were in college during my senior year and we would try to go to different coffee shops to do homework. We would do homework, but shopping and pictures were definitely a part of it! For those of you who know Deborah, she has a strong, fire cracker personality. She can make any room light up with laughter. I am thankful for Deborah and the bond we have!
Groomsman
Antonio and Deion met in 2015 when they served together on the WinShape Camps for Communities. -- they became really close during this time due to some unfortunate hospital visits, but through this they began to forge a friendship. In 2017, Deion moved to Athens, GA where Tony was going to school and they would hang out after class. This is really where their relationship blossomed and a year later they moved in together and Tony was Deion's best friend when he probably felt his loneliest, it was one of the more dark times in Deion's life, but Tony made sure Deion never stopped believing in himself. Tony is the one Deion calls for wisdom and advice, always and forever. Tony is marrying the love of his life, Emma, in September 2021 and they will live in Peachtree City, GA.
Bridesmaid
Alaythia is my dear cousin, but really is another addition to my sisters and I. Growing up, Alaythia, Deborah, Sarah and I all would get together and play, talk about life, and then at the end of the night, all squish on my aunt's old bed in my grandparents house. Alaythia has such a sweet and caring soul. She also has the best laugh! She is so busy in life yet always makes time to love on her friends and family, and that is not easy to do. She treats everyone she comes by as she treats her own family. She has the best style and always the best jewelry too! She put me onto a brand and I’m obsessed haha. She does nothing but encourage and speak life into others and I am so thankful God gave us her as a cousin and sister!
Groomsman
Byron and Deion go all the way back to 2014 where they met at WinShape Camps in Rome, GA. They were both camp counselors and they gravitated towards each other because Byron had the coolest sneakers. They got to know each other even better when they both took an extensive road trip with 6 others. Deion always looked up to Byron and admired how he carried himself. When Deion tore his achilles tendon in fall of 2017 Byron moved in with him and took care of him physically and emotionally. They shared tons of chicken sandwiches, chicken wings, and quarter pounders while playing tons of Call of Duty. Deion hates playing on the opposite team as as Byron and when they're on the same team they are dangerous! Byron is marrying the love of his life, Jacqi, in June 2021 and they will live in Georgia.
Bridesmaid
I have known Juliana since we were freshmen in high school. My first memory is of us laughing non-stop at a homecoming game - and this set up our friendship so well! We grew closer and closer as time went on. We had late night Skype dates, where again, we would laugh until our parents came in and asked us to be quiet. People say we look like sisters or cousins. We both have a Spanish mom and Armenian dad, so it does make sense! Juliana has always encouraged me in whatever I have done, and I am so thankful we have stayed close since. From our own Skype dates, to double dating with our our loves at a taco spot in Huntington, our friendship continues its growth and love.
Groomsman
Kevin White is possibly one of the most clutch people Deion has ever met. He always keeps it real with Deion. The first night they met Kevin and D hit it off because they liked the same kind of music. Kevin went on to introduce D to life long friends at Destiny Worship Center as well as his lifelong soul mate -- that's right... Kevin invited Deion to Waffle House the night he met Rebekah after a Night of Worship at the Pour Coffeeshop in Panama City, FL. It's this spirit of inclusion that makes Kevin special - there's never a day where Kevin isn't looking out for one of the boys. He is always down to have conversations around accountability & always down for fun! Kevin and Stef White got married in March of 2021 and live in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Wedding Planner
Victoria LaHood, Venue Manager at the Brick, has been helped Rebekah and Deion plan the wedding since Day 1! Best wedding planner we could have asked for... all the emails, all the zooms, all the meetings, all the calls. Calm, cool, collected -- Victoria has been a joy to work with!
Officiant
Nathan and Brittany Worthey will be leading Rebekah and Deion in their pre-marital counseling and officiating the wedding! Nathan serves as a pastor on staff at Destiny Worship Center in Destin, FL where R+D attended when they met!
