Brenton and Rebekah met not once, but twice before on Bumble, a dating app where the woman initiates the conversation. They matched in the summer of 2022 but didn’t keep in touch until reconnecting again on the app in February 2023. Rebekah reached out to Brenton, realizing she had matched with him in the past, and said, “Hey didn’t we match with each other before? How are you?” And the rest is history. Their first date was at a cocktail bar in Cary, NC the night before Valentine's Day. Throughout their first date, they realized their romantic chemistry and bond with one another was truly special.

In October 2023, Rebekah and Brenton went to NYC to visit some friends and family. It was Brenton’s first time visiting New York, so Rebekah had a whole day planned out to take Brenton around her favorite spots. It was a rainy day, but they spent the day wandering around Manhattan, taking in all the sites and eating delicious food along the way. Towards the end of the day, Rebekah and Brenton went to The Highline Park, one of Rebekah’s favorite places to take in some grand and intimate views of NY. Brenton got down on one knee and proposed to her in private with no one around and said, “Will you marry me?” She said yes! Brenton and Rebekah are eager to spend the rest of their lives together and have a celebration of their marriage with all of their closest friends and family.
