Austin was a nervous young guy when he came through my line at North 40. He avoided eye contact and kept a tight stare at his boots. I noticed him playing with a Seahawks lanyard and I nestled up the nerve to say "Hey I have that same one!". Austin slowly glanced up, his cheeks beating red answered "Oh?". Flashing a smile his way, I continued on to have a conversation with his grandparents, giving his grandpa a hard time about Chicago never winning a game. As I watched Austin and his family walk out the front door, I had no idea that a conversation I just had about sports could lead to the rest of my life. After several long days we finally met up for a date. A bonfire night where I got to meet his sister and his soon to be brother in law. I got to see and be around a guy who I knew liked me for who I was. February 9th 2016, just 2 short weeks after meeting Austin, we made it "official". We have been on some amazing and crazy adventures. Anywhere from long drives through Idaho mountains, tubing the Columbia river, dancing in the rain, driving 8 miles in less than 10 minutes just to kiss goodnight, car accidents, surgeries, moves, late nights, hunting trips and some very hard times of loss and heartbreak. Some may say we are young and are rushing our lives together. Others may say "you don't know what love is". That may be true. However, I am looking forward to the rest of my life learning to fall more in love with this man and figuring this crazy thing called life out together. After 3 and a half years Austin got down on his knee and asked me to be by his side for the rest of his life. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives. Welcome to our crazy love story... #OnCloudWright 💜
