FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the Wedding on Saturday?

Answer

We’d love to see everyone dressed up! Black Semi-Formal attire is requested. We interpret Semi-Formal dress as Suit & Tie for gentlemen, and below-the-knee to full length dresses or pantsuits for ladies. Black hues are our preference, but if black is not in your wardrobe, darker colors like navy will do just fine! Most importantly, wear what you love & feel your best in!

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party on Friday?

Answer

Garden Party Casual Don't worry about getting fancy--think cotton or linen fabrics in pastel-bright colors or floral prints. Gentlemen feel free to don shorts or jeans with a collared shirt. Ladies, give your feet a break with flat shoes!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your little ones but our wedding on Saturday 5/3 is intended for adults only, with the exception of the young relatives involved in our wedding party. We hope you'll consider enjoying a night off to celebrate with us if you are able! However the Welcome Party on Friday 5/2 is Family Friendly. Bring your kiddos to celebrate with us in this more casual & spacious setting!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate any extra guests. Please refer to the named guests on your invitation, or those named in your party on the RSVP tab. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a large lot at Sky Creek Ranch. There will be golf carts circling to pick you up if you have to park at the far end!

Question

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will be held outside on a mildly sloped lawn (the gentle slope ensures everyone has a great view). There are paved stairs & sidewalk, and the lawn will be shaded by ceremony start time.

Question

How is the Weather expected to be?

Answer

The current forecast is high 70s and Sunny with mild wind, and moderate humidity. But this is springtime in North Texas and weather can change on a dime! We recommend bringing an umbrella in case of rain. In the event of stormy weather, we'll relocate the ceremony indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 4:30pm-4:45pm to ensure you have plenty of time to park, find your seat, and settle in.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We hope you'll take this time to unplug during the ceremony and be fully present with us in this special moment. We only ask that if you choose to snap any photos during the ceremony to keep your phones/cameras low, below your face, and out of the aisle. We’ll have professional photography & videography documenting the day, and want to make sure your lovely face can be seen!

Question

Is Bugs going to be at the wedding?

Answer

YES! We are so grateful to have found a venue that will allow our dog, Bugs, to be included--we couldn't imagine this milestone without him. He will be leashed & attended during the event. If you have not met him before, he LOVES people, and will be so excited to meet you!

Question

I'm not local to DFW--where should I stay?

Answer

Check out our recommendations for hotels in the area on our Travel page or consider an Airbnb! Southlake, Keller, Grapevine, Trophy Club, Roanoke, Colleyville, or Westlake will be the most convenient areas to book your stay near the venues.

Question

I'm not local to DFW--what airport should I fly into?

Answer

DFW is the nearest airport with the largest variety of flight options--we recommend booking your flights here! DAL (Dallas Love Field) also services the area, but is further away from our itinerary. This can be a great option if you prefer Southwest Airlines, or a smaller airport.

Question

I'm flying in--how should I get around DFW?

Answer

Our recommended hotels & itinerary are all within a small radius with lots of restaurants, shops, and activities nearby! If you plan on keeping your plans within the Keller/Southlake/Trophy Club area, ride-shares like Uber & Lyft will be sufficient to get you everywhere you need to go. If you intend to branch out into Fort Worth or Dallas, we recommend renting a car for your visit as DFW can be pretty spread out. For those visiting Texas for the first time, check out our Things to Do tab!
