On December 8th 2018, New Yorkers were preparing to take shelter from the 100s of Santas that were about to descend into the Lower East Side for the annual Santa Con bar crawl. Because of cosmic circumstances, Nick and Rebecca, who both were partaking in the festivities on that day, just so happened to have both found themselves at the same place, Bar Virage. Rebecca and her friends happened to have found a table at the bar and when Nick and his friends entered, the seat across from Rebecca just happened to open up. Based off of mutual accounts from other people that were there, as soon as Nick sat down across from Rebecca, and the rest was history.
On a sunny Wednesday on Martha's Vineyard, MA, a love story set it’s scene for a new chapter: Two sets of parents and a sister ducked behind the seats of a borrowed car in a sandy parking lot. A photographer wearing oversized rubber boots held a fish pole with no hook, casting a line into the ocean. And most importantly, a slightly suspicious Rebecca went for an afternoon walk on the beach with Nick, who had a very important little box in his pocket. Unbeknownst to Rebecca, a curated picnic awaited her down the beach, complete with tea lights spelling the words: “Will you marry me?” When they reached that picnic, Nick got down on one knee, the fisherwoman pulled out her camera, and Rebecca, of course, said yes.
