Tony and I met the summer of 2008 in Frisco. My friend, Christi, had introduced us at The Down Under Pub, as Tony was the bouncer at the door. As I packed and planned to move into the same apartment complex, a few weeks later, I was at the gym, riding the recumbant bike. I happened to look over and saw Tony walking my direction! I thought I could probably use some help moving and how convenient for him, he would be close! As he got closer, I tried to make eye contact and I was probably grinning from ear to ear, most likely looking slightly psychotic. He was not really paying attention to me, so I said, "Hey, hey, hey", while waving at him. "I am moving into the same apartment complex where you live, maybe you could help me move?" As I was talking, he continued to walk by and said, "Oh yeah? Sure." but it was obvious at this point, he was not interested. I watched him keep walking as I had turned my head from the right to the left to have a conversation, but he was already further away, so I did what any normal person would do, and said, "How will you know where to help me move?" Weeks go by, I had moved into my apartment, and as I was backing out of the garage, looked in the rear view mirror, and there he was, cleaning his motorcycle! Instead of backing out and turning right, and about my merry way, I changed trajectories, and turned to the left in order to align my open passenger side window, as I stopped and looked at him and said, "Hey Johnny, when do you think you could take me for a ride on that motorcycle?" He looked up and said, "Well, I can take you any time you like, but my name isn't Johnny." I guess it worked, because at some point, I got to go on that motorcycle ride! And the rest, as they say, is history! Or rather, THEIRSTORY!
